Do those round concretions have anything in them, crabs or clams? Thanks for taking us along, fun trip with nice scenery and finds. Larry, I've never found a crab or clam, usually a pebble or nothing at all! Glad to share the trip with y'all.

Thanks for the pictures of your trip. I've never been to a desert, so it's fun to see something different. I'm so used to wading in water most of the places I look for rocks. It's weird to see a place so dry. I don't worry about getting stung or bitten while rock huntin' either. Rob, if you've never been to the desert, it is like a different world! I may have to worry about being stung, poked or bitten but at least I don't have to worry about freezing my ass off!

Good point. No rock picking for me this time of year. I'll leave that for Snowmom.

nice trip! is there any real big palm bog chunks down there those would make good polished slabs Thanks, Roy. Large chunks can be found, if that's what you are looking for. I only have a ten inch saw, lol. I have bought large slabs of the bog at shows, they do polish/cab well. They may have come from this area, or may have come from farther north. Some of them have snail shells in them!

But of course! And this was just a small assemblage of them. I think they were plotting on taking over the world. Quick, play some country music!!
