Great pics. I had a friend who owned a ridgeback about 30 years ago. Wanted one ever since. Thanks James, you got good taste.

Outstanding! Great photos of truly magnificent animals.
Wish we had the open space that is obviously needed for such beasties to romp. And that my wife didn't have such a fixation with rescuing defective dogs. (guess someone has to) It would be nice to have a dog that was able keep up with me going around the block while I'm drinking a beer and smoking cigarettes - which ours can't.

Rescue is righteous, I see breeders and show dogs that get treated like livestock. Rescue is always in the best interest of the dogs. Good for you captbob.

I will say that Mrs Price did not mention how much she paid for the camera, guessing I do not want to know Ian. I used to keep a small field plowed in Florida that was pure white sand. She really liked shooting them where they were throwing sand with their feet.

The two 8 month olds were visiting. They are back at their respective homes now. The old ones get out and play regularly though. The oldest one is the fun police and keeps the other two from jousting. She is jealous. I once had a Lab-Shepherd mix that was the fun police, too! When the other dogs got too rambunctious, she'd put a stop to it NOW!!

And it is always the oldest one. It is a sort of sick pleasure they get out of it. And no form of correction stops them.

I think it is the mothering instinct, whether that dog be a mother or not (mine wasn't). Either that, or just asserting their dominance. Always done in a gentle manner - correction made, no blood shed. Pretty funny to watch, though.

Have had a visiting 'A' dog hold her ground with the house 'A' dog. they get separated, fight may ensue.

nice action shots. Their eyes are hilarious. DOGS! She took some in the sand, they were sand bags afterwards. They can throw some sand around. When the yard is wet they leave divots like a bad golfer with a sand wedge. eye is called 'wild eye'. I had drug a deer in on the 3 wheeler ATV. Went in the house and those butt heads pulled the ATV over tugging at the deer. They get excited.

I know they aren't Ridgebacks but they are dogs, Great Pyrenees, to be exact and only 2 1/2 weeks old. This is our youngest grandson holding them. He's as proud as the momma dog and it's going to break his heart when they are sold. They have 4 grown one's. 39don
