That's a real nice shine after just 24 hours AND no grit. Hmmm....I wonder if those Lake Chatuge garnets will perform the same way? If it's the solid iron ones with no color, no they will not. I've run them in both rotary and vibe and after a few runs I pulled them all out. They're complete junk.

If they do not hold up in the rotary, they must not hold up in the vibe, sounds like you got a big pile of dog scnhitt like i did in the rotary. Back in the sand paper days they used to crush those iron garnets and get the glassy garnet particles and separate them with water to get the garnet particles to settle by weight. Throw away the iron and sand. Then crush the garnet particles to 80-240-400 grit by crushing and sieving them.

Always like your corrals, but that ratchet-hammer caught my eye "Wicked" I have a set of pliers-crescent wrench combo like that. Jean and Scott were giving me a hard time about a that tool so it became my avatar for a long time. They seemed mesmerized by that thing. It was made for being used at the rock saw. Could come to be a new trend. Europeans have the Swiss army knife, we can have hybrid tools??

Those are sure pretty garnet tumbles! We all appreciate your experimenting in the tumbling department. Keep up the experiments...who knows what you'll discover next!
