I would have thought bob did the same with his metal diamond wheel .then the Followup steps would be similar to 45 ft of kitchen counter.
Practice makes perfect.

The thing is a counter top is all ready flat. The Lepidolite slab we put our address numbers on was easy, because it was soft and pretty much flat.
The bog was harder, because it was odd shaped, and full of fractured surfaces, or as Jean says full of lumps and bumps.
Try one!

I have a wet polisher and will say that it is a slow process. Easy with soft rock, hell with hard rock. Starting with a saw cut surface is easy, raw rough shaped agate, grease your elbows. it's work out time.

And shower time! At least no worries when gringing wet. Wonder what the water police would have to say about? "But sir, I'm NOT watering my grass, just this big ol' rock."
And let me tell you, that stuff was hard!

And let me tell you, that stuff was hard! I very much respect the work that goes into grinding that hard rock. It is a big job. pay off worth it, great creation
