Sounds odd,my 1st batch, which turned into my 2nd batch, because I wasn't happy with the batch(so did it over).. Well anyhow, here ya' go............Just a few photos..Didn't want to bore you all...LOL Just finished my 2nd batch of tumbled rock..........Agates and petwood.. Had a problem with this batch, right out of the gate!!! Stuck to it from the advice I received on the forum(RTH)and did them over again, but at longer cycles between grits...Lesson learned and a bit of stubbornness, they are finished and looking good!!! GIT R DONE and THUMBS UP!!!! The petwood first, just a few.... Notice the lattice in the background, now that is a shine-LOL... Ok,now for the agates..... Montana agate, this one will get something done to it-I'm gifting it to a friend-who wraps.. Montana agate............Liking the green moss.. This is quartz agate-it was in a box of gold based gravel,I usually order from Alaska... Montana agate.............Just a few.. Holley Blue agate-Oregon (can't collect this stuff anymore)... An Oregon agate,I found on the Willamette River..It has an exact agate just like it,I call them the "Sisters"... Wish I could have found this whole-so cool...........Oregon find too........

PS: In my honest opinion, petwood is harder to tumble than agate..............TAKE YOUR TIME,with that stuff-LOL

I like the pet wood but one agate like this one makes the whole batch worth it for me. Chuck

Shiny!! What changes in time duration between grits did you make, Fossilman? Love your Montana and Holley Blue! Around two weeks on the 1st two rough grits, than a week on the prepolish (give or take a couple extra days),than about the same on polish-than three hours to four hours with warm water and Ivory Snow........

I'm taking the Holley Blue to a buddy, for him to customize it,than wrap it...I'm sure he will have to cut it down, but that's fine with me..I have a few more pieces..(Hard to come by anymore-without paying through the nose for it)!

excellent. I'll take that advice. I have some petwood stored up (and some scary obsidian) from gift boxes from members. I need to tumble those this summer. If they come out half as nice as those, I'll be happy. Those look mighty fine!

Lovely batch, superb results. A great success for the first time.
I have a few like your Oregon agate collected locally. Small world of rock! Ian
