I have been considering a Tundra, but I have a 4x8 overbuilt trailer that will easily carry well over a ton so I'm also considering a 4-runner. Decisions, decisions... As for the original topic, any enthusiasts forum like ours runs the risk of the old timers getting tired of answering the same questions over and over. The graciousness and encouragement offered to the newbies here is something that never ceases to amaze, lots of good people here.

Maybe we could have a FAQ section at the top of each subsection. It could include links to answers already posted.

Chuck don't quit!!! I live to try your methods and ideas out!!! Facebook is working on a lot of sites by taking away active members, remember they are profiling you and selling that info many times over including uncle sam and the IRS. As a sometimes blog publisher I can tell you that pics draw readership and participation. RTH has a huge problem in that folks find it very difficult to post pics. I am on other forums, not talking rock forums here now, and I post pics direct to the forum. There I said it plain and simple folks, please do not kill the messenger but this problem will ultimately have severe consequences. Please don't get all touchy feely with your emotions, pride and nerves hanging all over your shirt and beat me up. This is a "real" issue and eventually it will come to a real conclusion. My hopes is that conclusion will be the ability to post pics on RTH direct. I cannot afford the data to load a pic to photobucket and then use data again to load it to RTH. Plus the time is in my opinion extraneous. Again please do not slaughter me for pointing out there is a 800 pound gorilla in the room! The bad thing about this is (there's 2): hosting it on the forum costs the owner money if it exceeds the maximum amount (there are errors all over other forums that say limit exceeded...). Number 2, when the forum has exceeded the limit the site won't let you click the pic to make it bigger and if it's an older post the picture disappears. A place like photobucket, tinypic, tumblr, etc are better sites to host photos. They stay there longer and it's free. I'm a mobile user and have the tumblr app and can upload a photo in a matter of seconds (that's why my photos are always so big to PC users).

Maybe we could have a FAQ section at the top of each subsection. It could include links to answers already posted. Exactly. Someone who knows the steps to photobucket, tinypic, etc should make a step-by-step write up on how to use the photo upload sites so when someone was stumped on how to upload we all can post the sticky link and they can follow the directions.

An Armored Humvee for me! Alas, I can't afford one. Nor the one jamesp posted. Dearest wife bought hers Dave. My truck has 301,000 miles from 2000-2015. Tundra(a Lexus V8) with 4 valves per cylinder. Original. 300K and still has great oil pressure and burns no oil. shhhh, got to whisper that part. I was referring to the mad max Gigahorse #vonhale.jpeg

Love your Soul and chaperone, lilacmoth! What year is your HamStar Box? lilacmoth, I'm not sure where you are, but here in Florida you would be ticketed for allowing your dog to drive. Here's our Soul on the stealership lot.

Many 7000 lb trailer loads 400 miles to Florida. Over 700 bed loads of plants weighing 1500 lbs+ across the traffic of Atlanta. Lots of time off road. No one has put a Tundra through such rough treatment. Will get another. It will live an easier life and should last 20 years.

If tanks had better gas mileage, I would like to have one to drive through and over traffic.

broseph82 I think a lot of the information and step by step instructions are already done. Sounds like ad admin job to me to set up the FAQ subsections. Maybe members could pull the information into the FAQ section. Cut and paste.

I feel like I'm dying today after our neighbors popped firecrackers all hours of the night, and we had to get up at 3am.

I hate to report but I think my enthusiasm for grinding rock’n hearts is waning My new job is not as conducive to grinding and my setup needs a serious overhaul. I’m not sure I got the energy
Usually I don’t post much when I’m not grinding. Lately that not been the case. Old habits are like rocks. Hard to break. So I keep posting. Hopefully something witty. Maybe, someone chuckles. That may be as good as it can get
Anyway I’ll see if cooler weather brings me back to the grind. But this may be the case.

@mr.mohs @mr.mohs leave the rocking hearts if you no longer have heart in it, but don't leave this forum! Sounds like it is time to explore new territory. Take us along on this journey.
I'll miss your posted hearts, but look forward to being a spectator to your new interests.

Love your Soul and chaperone, lilacmoth! What year is your HamStar Box? It's a 2013 plus model. I had rented one before and loved it, so when my ancient Saturn finally was too much to keep repairing, I jumped on it. Had to have a red one, and it was the only one on the lot! lol Dealership keeps sending me offers to trade in for a newer model, but mine's paid off and the dog hair is firmly established in the upholstery, so eh. lilacmoth, I'm not sure where you are, but here in Florida you would be ticketed for allowing your dog to drive. I only let him drive in parking lots and on quiet backroads!!

Now like most here I was a lurker before becoming a member . And when I was a member I did not want to be that guy who comments on everything, even though I wanted too. And yes loading photos was a learning curve . Frist you got to take the photo then I would have to wait to get to the office to up load to the computer . Then up load then to photo bucket and then copy paste copy paste for as many photos as I wanted to post. Learning that was the hardest part ,but some one took the time and walked me through it . Now I think that I post too much of my stuff , I was never looking to get a pat on the back for my work. I just thought if I share my stuff a new lurker would become a member. And looking back from my lurker days it did look like a few members were more on a one to one bases. Now as far as the facebook goes I have a office one , that my computer guy set up for the company . I think I have 6 likes . He has asked me to try to promote it to more , I said to who he said it does not matter but the more likes the better so if you got some time like me . www.1actnow.com . Now I think I asked a while back how RTH is promoted . when ever I go to my locale rock shop I tell people about the RTH. And I am one of the lucky ones that have a RTH sticker on my truck , that I got from a wrapping contest here ( which I wish was still going on ) Now I know that every thing cost time and money , but I would gladly make some stickers up and send them to any one that would pass them along when they sell un finished goods , like rough rock slabs on ebay or where ever to promote more. Now I would never do this unless I was told by the owners of this site . Now I know we have a buy sell for members page. But could there be a page for end users as well . I have ESTY account but I have never posted or tried to sell my stuff, and only been to one show and there is a some ideas on how to price your work that I guess I influenced ROCKJUQUIE start. I am still not that confident on my work I guess to ask for real money. I did sell 4 pcs during the 4 day show btw . But a am going at the end of August again . Hope to do better this time around . But I would not be even trying any of this if it was not for this board and its members. And few might know I has issues with login still having them , I think its because I clear my computer everyday but I do this for work search reasons . Wish the log in was not a part of life ,but I know there are people that would abuse this or any site out on the web if there was no log in. Ok I think I have gone on too long here. Time to get a coffee and wrap something . And 1dave is that really your truck ? Its from Mad max right the new one. My MG MIDET could fit in the glove box in that thing.
