This is for lurkers and newbies, too. How many of us wrappers are regular contributors or regular readers? (Please post here, so I can get an idea of how many people might be interested in participating or following this, if it happens.) I propose that we do a challenge thing sorta like glennz01 proposed in the cab contest. Someone can sponsor and come up with a theme themselves- maybe someone new every month. Or, we can have a thread devoted to hashing out a theme for the month- popularity dictates. However we do it... I propose a friendly challenge for our own creative juices. We can have a theme to design a wrapped piece around. Any kind of wrap will do, but it needs wire stone and/or beads. This should be mostly about creativity and not so much about skill. We can post our pieces before the month is up and tell how our piece relates to the theme. We can hash it all out some more if anyone else is interested. I just thought this thread was getting a little slow. I wasn't thinking of prizes or voting, but if that is something everyone else wants, then, by all means, let's discuss it. Since the Roaming Wire seems to be defunct for the time being, this might fill the gap. I've participated in things like this at other sites and it was fun. Is it too soon to be excited??  |

I have also been trying to figure out the lack of activity. Seems there are only a handful posting regularly. Are people wrapping less or just posting less? Is there a deeper issue at hand? I know I have really slowed down just because I have too many wraps done right now. I am really just replenishing items that sell with the same type for now.
As far as a contest/theme wrap thats probably not my cup of tea but I dont really have the crazy creative gene that some of you have. I would sure enjoying seeing what others come up with though.

It has been quiet lately. I haven't been wrapping much since I've been traveling but hope to get back to it soon. A friendly challenge sounds like fun. Count me in.

Drummond Island Rocks I respect your choice. This supposed to be fun and you don't think you would enjoy it, then it will be nice just to have you follow and maybe comment. (I disagree that you don't have creative genes, though- you do more with rocks than most of us do. ) Diane drocknut - Great! So glad to have you on board. I haven't been wrapping as much lately, either. I'm hoping this will help. Hopefully, we can get enough people to do this. If not, who's to say we can't do a small unofficial, friendly thing? We'll get it sorted out, one way or another.

Great idea..................As of every year,the summer months slow down,because of summer family activities and etc....Usually picks up in the winter months,people staying inside a bit more!
