I went to the post office a little while ago and I had a pink slip in my box. It wasn't there this morning, I guess I went too early....I'll have to wait til tomorrow to pick up my book.

Mine arrived today in great shape. A small tear in the envelope, but no damage to the book. I was happy to see that both authors signed it.
Been unpacking equipment today and my hands were dirty. I'll do a quick comparison of the 1st & 2nd books tomorrow.

Just finished scanning over both books. It's my opinion that both books are worth having. While the first book covers all of the Owyhee's, Some other Oregon locations and a portion of western Idaho, The second book concentrates on the southern half of the Owyhee's and South Eastern Idaho. These are the areas where the best known and most important deposits of picture jaspers are found.
So if you can find a copy of the first book without breaking the bank, my advice would be to buy it. You won't be sorry you did.

I picked mine up from the post office. Small tear in the envelope but the book is not damaged. I flipped through it a little. I like the one on page 57. I can't wait to sit down and really look at it.

I'm so glad that this thread was posted or I would have missed the release. I was late on the first book and paid a fortune after the fact. If this one is anything like the other then I can't wait to get it... I have already ordered it.

More information on locations, and more general talk about collecting the various materials. + the pics are a great help in identifying unmarked slabs.

Got it in the mail today !!! Fan-diddly-doo-tastic !! Didn't see any f the other ones so this really made my day. A lady staying with us asked what it was and I told her it was a coffee table rock book. She said "those gotta be some big rocks huh ?" with a straight face and all. I tried nt to laugh but couldn't stop before telling her what I meant.
