I have 3 MFR Boxes, weighing over 24 lbs each, that I will will sell or trade. This is from the San Jacinto River Gravel, near Houston. This link is to an earlier thread, with some of the gravel that I had started tumbling. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/72158/jacinto-river-gravel-heavy-pics . If anyone has an abundance of course grit and wants to work a trade, or $46 a box (includes Freight). If you want one, send me a PM with preference on Box 1, 2, or 3. It will be 1st come 1st serve. I can put more together, if needed. Thanks for looking! Jeremy Box#1 Box #2 Box #3

Wow, hard to believe box #2 is still available. That's a nice batch of smaller barrel sized material and would have been a toss up against meviva's first choice box.

I got my box today. I haven't been able to open it, even though I tried and tried with my car key to slice through the tape...lol. Not t sure when I will be able to open it because my mom is in the hospital and I will be here all day. I will post pics once I get the box open.

Complicated details, multiple payments for one box or expecting to be paid for one's "time" - not so good. All in the presentation. Keep it simple and reasonable.

I guess.. maybe I was overthinking things

"overthinking things" ? The contract I signed to buy my house was less complicated than one of your rock sales! And it wasn't edited or altered every 15 minutes. Glad you seem to be mellowing out a bit in old age

Really??? <chuckle> Yeah, I think Jeremy has stock in a packing-tape company...my box made the trip from Texas to Alabama via New York...the box looked like it had been rolled the entire route...but not a single tear in the box....great packing!!! Oh, and when you get inside there'll be some tough plastic bags...the tape on them isn't *too* bad. Enjoy!!!!

I was using my keys because I was trying to open it in the parking lot of the post office on my way to the hospital. I did finally make it home and use a knife. Much better success rate with that. The box is open but I still haven't had a chance to really look at them. Hopefully this morning...I will post pics.

I can see you now with the box on the hood of your vehicle trying frantically to get into it when a passerby walks by, smiles and says "Oh, that must be something you're really excited about receiving!" You reply, "Yes, it's a box of rocks!!!". The passerby goes on by glancing back over his shoulder at you with a worried look on his face.... The general public just doesn't understand us....

LOL.... Intheswamp I'm always waiting for the postal worker to say "what's in here....Rocks?" but they never have. But you are right about me frantically trying to open the boxes at the car...sometimes the keys can open it but sometimes not. Andrea

What is it, a box of rocks?!" The look on her face when I told her it was, in fact, a box of rocks was priceless.
