I see no fractures on the rock,so I might try a cut with it on my saw.............

Just about cut it yesterday,but thought I better quit for the day......Just getting over my Sciatica bout,don't want it back!!! LOL Maybe today...

Looks like some type of Copper Ore. The Red Skin would indicate Iron. Cuprite is also red and in the presence of other obviously copper ores is the likely culprit for red. Mike it will prolly be soft. Use caution when cutting.
