Out of tissue, oh, there's a dish rag... Ok, I've saved this post with the thumbnail and attached comment at the bottom. Will save this for *possibly* forwarding to the Missus Jamesp....I should be able to bribe finagle bargain several buckets of primo coral, a big pvc barrel, and...(you've got two of those kayaks, don't you)...from James.

Btw...me gotta get some cobbles!!!! Veddy nice!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of those were the thin plates of quartzite laying loose Ed. You can fill a barrel with them pretty quick. Just got to grind the surface fractures off of them in coarse grind. That black piece in the lower right is dark smokey quartzite. Hold it to the light and it is fine. Good bit of smokey down there.

Yeah, I like those plates...I scarf'em up like I've been doing that fudge my oldest daughter made for Christmas...forget the kayak as a bribe payment, I couldn't fit into it now after all of this fudge, anyhow!!!!

Some of those plates got zero cracks in them. Most that do have surface fractures along the surface layers. Plates insinuates quartzite, quartzite like that stuff is a different animal than plain crystalline quartz. If you take a hammer to it you will find out how dang hard it is. Cabs could be made of it that are low dome and thin and still hold up.
