I'm curious, trying to get an idea of what to price my Montana's. I've got different grades and youd price accordingly correct? I've got a lot I can get rid of so I really wanna do this right I just sold under market price to off load a bunch of extra that I had. It was too much for me to work all of it and I know a lot of folks that frequent this board like agates and hard stuff. I like stuff around MOHs 6 and under.

Gimp. It gives trial time, then it won't put out unless you fork out the cash. It has a lot of other programs it installs when you download the darn thing. So beware.

James, I think you must of downloaded it from somewhere that re-packaged GIMP with a lot of malware or something. As far as I know, GIMP has always been free and open source. I've never seen a charge for using it and (downloaded from a good source) never had a problem with secondary programs being installed. GIMP "official website: www.gimp.org/

Hmmm, that would be rather serious for GIMP's own site to have salted files that they're offering for download. Back when they had indirect download sources there was a definite chance of unwanted programs piggybacking, but coming direct from their website I don't think there would be much danger. The community that writes and supports GIMP are some really brainy people who would frown upon someone possibly tarnishing the community's (and GIMP's) reputation. But, I could be wrong.... One thing is for sure, GIMP is a powerful program for a pauper's price...FREE. But, there is a bit of a learning curve involved with it and so much/many commands and menus...many commands are way beyond the average user. I nice, basic shell to cover the program with basic, everyday commands along with maybe a self-assembled menu for creative purposes would be nice to have....who knows, there may already be one. Whatever the case, whatever you download on the internet take it with a grain of salt....and anti-virus/malware software.
