Make that attic storage room floor strong. You don't want all those rocks coming down on your head! The building is coming along nicely.
The storage area is supposed to be for Christmas stuff and other miscellaneous things I don't know why I didn't think of putting rocks up there. Maybe one already hit me in the head. I think the guys will be here tomorrow to build my ceiling I'll make sure it's strong enough.

Agreed. Storing rocks in high places bad idea. Hard to get up, and hard to get down, unless dropped.
Will your rocks be stored outside?
Thanks for taking us along on this work in progress. Interesting. In a 10' x 15' workshed, you will have lots of room to create/play.
Pat I've been keeping my rocks in buckets on utility shelves. I will probably do the same in my workshop, until I run out of room. I keep trying to figure out how I'm going to set things up. I have my tumblers, flat lap, 7" tile saw, 10" tile saw, Genie and I just ordered a 14" slab saw. My husband is going to put up plexi glass on the walls near the saws so the walls don't get ruined. It's fun watching them build it I just wish it was done already.
I don't know whether a heavy duty wall exhaust fan is something you could incorporate, but it may be nice if you could exhaust the oil mist when you open the 14" saw after each cut. I'm not talking about some little bathroom type exhaust fan, but something that could really move some air (oil mist) outside in a serious manner.
One would help keep the oil mist from covering everything else in the room over time and keep you from having to evacuate the room for 5 minutes every time you open the lid after a cut. Kinda thing that most folks with a slab saw in an enclosed area probably dream about.
Dogs are unlimited lines of joyful credit with a payment that comes due all at once.
Nothing new the past couple of days. This morning the roof pieces were delivered. The street was too narrow for the driver to get into the back yard so he dumped them on the driveway. Tomorrow morning the guys will be back and a crane will be here too. The forecast for tomorrow is thunderstorms ......not sure how they will feel about that.
I know I already posted this on another thread but I wanted to include it here also. The coyote was on the wall at the same time the guy was delivering the roof pieces.
I like that you spy on them out your bedroom window.
LOL!! I was sitting on the floor under the window and putting the phone up to take the pics so they couldn't see me. Then sit there and send to my husband and upload to photobucket and post here......repeat.
Well, I lied. I said I wouldn't be updating til Monday. At 6:45 this morning we were woken up by the guys banging around on the garage. They we here for a few hours finishing up their part. I'm guessing we will have an inspection in Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for looking.
