Is that base sealed (spray coated) with something? Wondering if it is going to leave a rust ring on their carpet. Does make a darn good lookin' table. He used Klear Koat concrete sealer. 25% acrylic in solvent. Does well in climate control. ~2 years outside Georgia, 10 minutes outside Florida(salt).

Maybe I should go check out the table sold to a Ohio client. Maybe they are close, since I do live in Ohio.

That pit/table would be a good place to hide stuff.

That pit/table would be a good place to hide stuff. Client says it holds 47 kilos of cocaine-not really. He glued the marble to the steel cover. Bang-up customer. "I mostly passed along the info so if you ever have someone else that wants to use the pit as a table base you'll be able to benefit from my experience. Actually moving it really wouldn't be too big of a deal. There is silicone adhesive holding the marble to the lid (weighs about 350 total), but we could pull the top off and move the pit separately. Thanks again. Dave"

This fellow wanted to install a 32 inch gas burner in the table top of a 48 inch pit on the fly. Weld some gas fittings in and make some access holes for the gas line in the bottom. Me don't do the plumbing due to product liability issues. 'gas fire pits to go'

That's an elegant looking top if that word can be used when talking about fire pits. He gonna cover the gas burner element with glass chips or the like? How deep is the gas fire pan? Deep enough to bury the burner?
You have concerns about a leak in the fittings and the bowl filling with gas?

Deep enough to bury the burner? You have concerns about a leak in the fittings and the bowl filling with gas? A gas distribution manifold connects to the center fitting in the SS burner bowl. Then he said he will cover that in 2"-3" fire glass. There is also a 49 inch cover that covers the 48 inch pit/gas burner you see in the photo. The cover in the photo with the burner mounted in it lifts off, it is not welded down. Hopefully preventing a bomb in case of a leak. Gas leaks/connections/etc is customer's problem. He will do the plumbing. I do not purchase product liability nor am licensed for plumbing up gas connections. However, am soon to hire a copyright/trademark attorney to see if I can protect my basic fire pit design/trademark to some degree. Me and my #1 competitor have allied on this issue. We have differing designs and can work as a team on defending some infringements. He would be 'big brother' and me the little one man wrecking crew. He knows I only want to sell 200-300 pits/year. He has big aspirations.

One a day, 5 days a week all year long would be amazing. You could work what? 3-4 days a month producing then?

Working with customers such as that makes doing business a pleasure. They sent the photos to you? At first I thought they had invited you to join their family bonfire, lol.

Getting pics is a plus. They are certainly putting your pit to good use. They look very happy with it.
