This not a rock subject. You know those days at work that you want to pull all your hair out. I'm having one of those days. 1. The boss is golfing today.( which most of the time that is good but, not today)
2. I had 7 robot welding guns to put on today. Two for some reason they could not power up. Two welding guns seemed to be wrong. Had a very hard time finding mantanance to move two more.
3. The engineer on this job quit today. The guy that is taking his place took the day off and their boss was not answering his phone.
4. One of my men didn't show up.
This all happened before 11:00.
BUT THE GOOD THING IS....I saved money on my car insurane switching to Guyco. ( how in the heck do you spell it)

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger Brett. Everyone at my work is running around putting out fires. The bad news is, I spent all week starting them.

Sounds like my job. I make corrugated cardboard boxes for a living. Its not as "sexy" as being a fire fighter though.

Hi all, I have inventory coming up next week and my key board keeps freeing up, the printer keeps jamming, I got a whole new crew who doesn't have a clue what they are in for, can't find any casual labor and they won't allow me to give any overtime so I'll be doing most of the work my self before open and after closing. They are replacing the computers in 2 months so they won't fix mine or give me another one and if that key board freezes up during inventory the whole thing will have to be started from scratch. But, you know, other than that... ;D cookie

Monday it's 105 degrees here. I painted the last of the fence I have been working on from 7:30 to 11:30 AM. Thought I was gonna have a heat stroke. Got home and the temperature in the RV is 88 degrees. AC fan making all sorts of racket. When the sun went down, the RV cooled off and I nearly froze my butt because I had the thing set at 70 with two fans blowing on me. Tuesday AM turned the AC off to get some fresh air because it was a really nice AM. AC bit the dust, wouldn't come back on - fan DEAD. Go to Lowe's in Kerrville (50 miles round trip), buy a window unit, styrofoam insulation, weather stripping and everything else I need. Get home and put AC in the fire exit window. If I have a fire and can't get to the front door, or other exit window in the BR, I will have to shove the AC out the window to escape! Had to use the foam insulation to close up the rest of the window - it's not a pretty sight, but it's on the backside, so nobody can see it and the AC cools this place down better than the other one ever did.
Ceiling fan stopped working last week, Bought new one. Decided I would install it - discovered not the fan at all, but a short in the switch. Of course, since I live in an RV, I can't find another switch at the hardware store, so have to call the RV dealership. The guy tells me to call Dave in the parts department of the RV manufacturer, tell him what I need, Dave will give me the part number, and then I am to call him back at the dealership and he will call Dave back and order it for me. Don't know about other RV brands but the kind I have, you have to order parts from the dealer. Can't call the manufacturer yourself. You can call them and they will answer your questions, help in anyway they can, but won't sell you the part you need. Dave did make an exception in this case and said he would get one out to me pronto. Maybe because I have hot wires hanging outside the hole in the wall and if anything touches them it will short out again and I will have no electricity for anything 110 volts, to say nothing of the danger of getting electrocuted or having a fire.
I have worked my butt off this week, my back is killing me, my house is filthy, my truck is filthy, my dog's feelings are hurt because I haven't paid much attention to him, I'm starving because I have been too stinkin' tired when I get home to fix myself a decent supper, and I still have to go out about every other night and fill up my fresh water tank because I haven't had time to replace the leaking water inlet value that I have had a new part for for about 3 weeks. And I have no idea what my rocks are like that have been rolling for about 3 weeks because I am also too dang tired to mess with them!
But, I also saved a bunch with Geico! And, about $400 when I switched my RV insurance to Progressive.

Just when you think you got it bad... God doesn't kill an ac unit without blocking an escape window... Wait, that doesn't sound right... cookie

And I forgot to add that today Dozer walked in his stall as I was putting the last shovel full of poop in the wheel barrow, raised his tail and dropped another load! D**n horse is out in the pasture all day but comes in the stall to take a dump! His owner is gonna need Geico, cause I'm gonna kill him!

Yeah, God can be fickle like that. Look at the whole "Adam, Eve - I'll give you this tree but you are forbidden to ever eat from it - AND DON'T LISTEN TO SNAKES!" thing. Just like a parent. So, James, how ARE corrugated boxes made? That's far more interesting than "Hey, Baby, I won three games of Monopoly in a row at the station!" or, "We washed and waxed the trucks today, and they sure are shiny!" Which is what most firemen do most of the time - unless there's an actual fire. THEN they come in pretty damn handy, I say. And yes, the trucks sure are pretty No offense to any firemen. We really do appreciate you - especially when there's a fire and the AC unit is blocking the one and only escape route

I slept like a rock last night and do feel a bit better this morning. Still tired, but have decided NOT to commit hari-kari. Barbara and I are going to the rock shop today, so that perks me up! Yep, that moom has been full - the nights here have been beautiful.

I can feel your pain shorty as I detail vehicles for people and do a few show cars. I hope that the paint was not permantly damaged, I had a customer hit a rattle can on the highway and painted the lower part and 1 wheel I got to it quick and was able to save the finish. Hopefully time will heal the wounds.
