Learning to read the rocks, looking for signs of iris for example I noticed that when you hold the endcut slab up to the light, you probably won't get iris but you will see shades of pink. Also, if you take a light source, hold up to the agate, if you see pink theres a good chance its iris. Now I'm not totally sure if this is a fact or I'm reading to deep into it but it sure seems logical lol

I have a 4x8 ,but I wasn't planning on bringing it this trip. Should I? have you picked along the Yellowstone before? I'm gonna say on an average we collect between 300-500 lbs of rock each time were out. It depends on what your after of course. Me...I love it all lol

I picked 7 buckets at 7 sister one time. That brought the total to about 10 buckets off the river. Yhen of course there was the rest of the trip acrodd MT and ID so it totaled around 1 S-10 full of rock

Yhen of course there was the rest of the trip acrodd MT and ID so it totaled around 1 S-10 full of rock seven sisters is a cool spot. We sometimes launch the boat from there. From there towards glendive is premo picking. The more room you've got available the more your gonna pick!!! What is it your focusing on?

We've got a couple spots ourselves we'll share but you'll blindfolded just so you know!! Lol just kidding now it's rumored that the riv will be rising in a couple weeks but it shouldn't be a problem where we plan on taking you.
