Too soft. Knife scratches. Please see previous posts. Definitely not granite, same reasons. I say cut it. Sadly I read the entire thread, twice, and completely disregarded that information. Please forgive my selective senility.

Please forgive my selective senility. We all have bouts of this. Senility, forest/trees, CRS... It has many names and many flavors. Thanks!

Finally got around to trying out some white vinegar and did indeed notice a bubbling reaction. Does that suggest that it's possibly limestone or dolomite? Still planning on cutting it open once I get a saw, but will have to wait until I can find one for a good price. Thanks again for your advice everyone! I will certainly be posting more on here soon!

The bubbling would be from a reaction of the acid with a carbonate. So I would say limestone. Dolomite is less reactive and most the dolomite I have seen has a crystal structure you can see.

Has made many water cuts. Mostly corners off cubes to make preforms... They have really stepped quality up on some power tools.

Not with the Drillmaster stuff. I got an angle grinder from them that lasted a day so I took it back for an exchange. The second one also lasted less than a day.

@rockinrick
Sear took their craftsman biz to China.
The USA vendor was devastated, until they signed on with The Home Depot. Husky Tools it is. Best thing that could have happened for them.
Go big orange! Woot!
