Have a few rocks here, wondered if I could get your thoughts on them.
The first photos are of one I picked up at the Swapmeet for a couple bucks a few months ago. It looks like one of those Keokuk geodes, that has been marinated in jamesp 's red GA clay. And before anybody tells me to cut it, I'll tell you I intend to! But first though, I will have to find my saw and uncover it, lol.
Has anybody seen such before? Sorry, no location known. Rock 1 
Lumpy outside, glassy within. Quartz-ish inside? Or perhaps more like jasper?
Large-baseball sized, not as big as a softball.
Next up, a rock picked up last week while prospecting on a friend's property south of Ramona. It seems to be a quartz, that has been metamorphosed. The ridges are reminiscent of the ridges of tourmalines, etc. There are pegmatites in the area. Rock 2 
This was coated in dirt when unearthed, but the striations caught my eye. 
Trying to find a geologic map of the area, see what age/types of rocks are found there.
The top edge looks like it may have been in a molten state at one time, and bumped into a solid object/wall. Strange. This one I may hit on my flat lap across this edge, see what that shows. Still Rock 2, view 90 degrees from the ridges
Another one. A possible agate? Considering that most of the rocks in the area are quartzes and quartzites, this one stood out. Rock 3 
Agate or jasper? This one is pretty hard, but a little bit grainy. Will try to get some slabs off it.
This side shows why I think agate. Maybe on rhyolite?
Lastly, another sex rock that got in the way. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but was very heavy. No, I did not do a SG test on it yet. Rock 4 
Pretty non-descript.
Broken open with rock hammer. Was surprised at greens and metallic blues inside.
Because of the heaviness, it made me think garnet. Only this ain't the right color, lol.
There are several garnet mines near Ramona.
Brought home about 17 buckets of dirt to run through the highbanker. Will do more this evening. 
Have only gone through four so far. Not gonna get rich, but better gold than a lot of places. This was from a pretty good gold area, the rocks are incidentals.

I think the pink one is an Earth turd. Turd was pushed through a small space while molten. Then it crystallized while retaining the shape of the movement.

*L* Got to say I'm loving the "earth turd" theory but I think the first one is from Utah up around green River. Commonly called grape agates. Pretty much always have the little botryoids and that red exterior...Mel

The one you say may be rhyolite is the only one that is ID able by me.
Georgia clay stained nodulation is way cool. Boted surface is promiscuity disease.

Brain agate ?
James, I'm pretty sure this one is a quartz of some flavor. I face polished it (on my flat lap) over the brain crenellations. 
Pretty pitty on the surface, but may produce a useable slab or two when cut. Definitely hard sh!t, Maynard! Takes a great shine. 
Also face polished the broke end of the garnet/? whatever. This stuff
Almost has a metallic feel to it. No surprise, since it is so heavy.
Still unclear as to what this is. It was also pretty hard, although a bit crumbly around the edge. Also seemed kind of "gummy" when hitting it on the 80 lap.

Probably solid or nearly solid quartz on inside of the first geode, have lots of them shaped geodes in my area also. Good stuff.
