My vote goes with the granite. Granite comes in so many color combinations that it's crazy. Green, black, white, blue, red, pink along with colors I didn't name and any combination of those colors or just 2 of the colors or .... Endless.

The material has a conchoidal fracture, is translucent and has no indication of granules or crystals all of which would rule out granite. Here is a photo of the sawn surface on a slab. Bob Based on this experienced lapidary and his astute description of the slabs characteristics, I have to conclude: Agate Not Granite Can't wait to see the cab Bob.

I see inclusions like that in cherts that I collect in Northern New Mexico. The key is no crystal structure showing. Otherwise I'd be glad to call it a granite with a lot of pink feldspar, . . . but its most probably a heterogeneous agate or chert until someone shows us a crystalline structure. Tom
