m.flickr.com/#/photos/136551163@N03/26974736416/Been sick the past month and a half due to all the pollen and crap outside. This was my first cut in over a month and thought I'd share in case none of you have ever seen this stuff. This is called Hypersthene and comes from Labrador Canada, the same place labradorite was found.

Very cool!!!
By the way, if you want to get rid of your allergies work on building up your adrenals. Allergies stem from adrenal dysfunction.

Hey, could you post your experience with cutting it? I didn't have much luck. I ended up losing the chatoyancy. I think the key is to cut a high dome. Not sure, though. Beautiful stuff.
edit- by cut I mean cab or dome, etc.

I listen to the top 100 songs or whatever. It's a mix of rock, country, edm, hip hop. I like a mix as music can get stale listening to the same genre for me (I've been through them all).

I have the same problem with sodalite. Chatoyance there in the beginning then in the final stages it's not there. You can do the same to labradorite as well if you're not careful. I'll try to some a pair of plugs out of this and see how it goes. The only problem I have with this stuff is that I cannot drill it as it breaks right in the middle and anything small I've tried to make has broken (small plugs). Seems like there are hidden weak spots and like to snap right off. Another plug maker said he tried this stuff and hated it. I don't mind it and love the look... So much I have 125lbs of it in just two rocks

So much I have 125lbs of it in just two rocks Thanks- I'm sure you're right. It was a real thick slab. I guess I need to go with a really high dome. It looks good flat lapped, too. I have a bunch of spectrolite that I haven't messed with, yet. It's super thin and will probably need to be backed.

No special process or machines
