OK, today was Christmas in Chino. Two FRB came in. One from Jeremy txrockhunter and the other Lexington Kentucky. I assumed that was Garage Rocker Randy. But there was no name on the box. Just an addy. So I open it. I clearly see this: WTF? Who sends me bourbon from Kentucky. AND its GOOD bourbon. Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Batch 322 Bottle #439. Thurteen years on the job Chris Morris knows his shit. So now I get to taste his "select"! But, there is more. Bourbon Smoky Garlic Sea Salt And then I see this: Bourbon Balls (I had no clue bourbons had balls... ) wait!! There is more. Al I see is bourbon stuff... Bourbon Vanilla Sugar The spoils.... So, I get a no named box, full of bourbon stuff... Which one of my friends sent it? I find no note, nor any clue, but then I notice buried in packing is this: Photo dry, but I am sure NOW you know (I sure did) who sent this magnificent box!! Randy!! You rock!! Jeremy images coming after a sip...

You are a very lucky man! I love the Woodford Double Oaked, so I am sure that Select is smooth as silk!
I guess I need to find better friends.....

HaHa! I don't know what you're talking about. Must have been the good karma fairy. She notices and rewards/encourages acts of kindness. Also happens to be the only fairy licensed to distribute alcohol. Hope you can manage a marble out of one of those chunks. If not, find something to do with it. Tried for the KY trifecta, but the race horse wouldn't fit in the box.

txrockhunter also sent a beautiful box! AND IT ALSO CONTAINED A "sub-box" wow! wtf!?!?!?!? Cant wait to find what is in HERE: Mysterious contents It is hard to see in this crappy cellphone pic the entirety of the 5 color rainbow in this obsidian. NOt only is the rainbow huge and colorful, but it MOVES in sunlight like Tigereye! AND I forgot what he called this angel hair pasta agate or something... I owe better pics of the tumbles. They are simply too good for my cell phone... Mayber a video of the obsidian. Gonna break out the big guns!

Can't afford Pappy's!! lol I am trying to have all the Blantons to spell the name and get that horse running! Every bonus check I go to BevMo or Total Wine and grab a new edition. When I travel I bring back the local flavor. Costa Rica had be bringing home a very fine example of rum from Nicaragua and of course the Costa Rica bottle too. I have Japan and Australian whiskeys too! Deer Hair Agate! That's it! And you gifted it to me!! I feel privileged! Now I have reference standards to work towards as I grow in my tumbling career. Gratitude my friend. Gratitude!

WL Weller 12 year. Wheated bourbon, like Pappy. In fact, often called 'poor man's Pappy'. People caught on and now it's hard to get. I'll keep my eyes open for it.

Randy's the man, shotgunner! He fixed me up with at least 3 pounds tumbling rough(some badass agate and jaspers) and plenty of 60/90 grit.
I'm not jealous of you, shotgunner, I couldn't take on that whole bourbon if I tried(not 21, yet). We've got numerous generous members on the board, and you guys are at the top.

Here is a lesson for you Adam. This type of bourbon is sipped and savored. Taking perhaps 30 minutes to enjoy a single ounce. Alcohol is to be enjoyed and appreciated. Never should one "take on that whole bourbon", ever, never. Being drunk is not desired. Just a floating happiness from the beautiful flavors of a small portion is the target.
