If good long latex gloves is what you need you can also check your local feed or farm supply store they sell long disposable latex gloves that can go up to your shoulder, not sure what they are called but they use them for medical applications, checking calving mother's , them long gloves my be what you need? That is exactly what I was looking for! I haven't had much luck online as I do not know just what to search for. There is no Feed/Farm store near me, but I saw one not too far away from where the Club meets. However, in some now suburban areas which used to be rural, "Feed Stores" now cater almost exclusively to dogs and cats. Still great tip! I will check it out. Till then it will be the big, shallow bin some have suggested.

Silicon carbide slurry does make your hands rough, I check my barrels every 48/72 hours, never use gloves.

Interesting problem.
I just dump the barrel in a colander, in a cement mixing tub, on the lawn, rinse it all down. Colander catches the good stuff, I rinse the mixing tub to find "tinies"

I'm really enjoyed reading this thread learn a lot about why my hands feel like 60 grit sandpaper
I would think if you rub your hands after having in them A/O slurry it would polish your nails ?
