I love the song I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack. Sadly, I don't. Never went to proms or dances, don't like to dress up, lol. As a kid, couldn't get out of those Sunday go to meeting close quick enough! 'But man, can I dance!', may be the biggest lie I've ever told...

rockpickerforever Congratulations! While noticing details, I noticed that Scott's shoes are even tied! lol and the animal looks like a donkey, not a horse. Wow! Also didn't see any erasures. Good job!

Thanks, Pat . Yes, I even tied his shoelaces for him, ha. But truth be told, he would NEVER wear long pants. Considered putting him in some shorts, where he feels comfortable, but pant legs easier to draw than human legs. Never was good at body parts. The five items braders wanted us to gather and take a pic of were: So donkey/ass, definitely not a horse. Oh, but there are erasures. The key is to do the drawing in light pencil, then go over it with a fine tip Sharpie. Your eye will pick out the correct lines. When done, use a good eraser and clean up any pencil lines remaining. Easy-peasy.

Ha ha. Sometimes I am a little slow at picking up jokes. Guess I am not always good at picking up sarcasm.
I never use sarcasm. Little white lies now and then, maybe...

Braders had asked, "Need some chow?" He wasn't kidding!!!
Fun to be in the contest, even funner to receive the box 'o rocks in the mail! Thirty lbs of goodness! It arrived superfast (on Saturday), but I didn't get a chance to open it until yesterday. Could have just took a quick peek, but I had to do it right and document it, lol.
Without further ado...
The box, in excellent condition.
Nicely packaged (double bottom), lots of tape.
Inside the box. What are those lovelies peeking out at me? If this is his discards, wonder what his keepers are?
Just started laying them on the table, wetting them, and snapping pics. Know some of them, but don't know what a lot of them are.
Don't know what it is, but I think this is probably one of my favorites
At first look, thought this was an agate of some kind. But it has the blue schiller of labradorite in it!
Couple more pieces
Pet wood, nice!
ETA - Looks like a jamesp GA coral in the lower right!
Up to here mostly slabs, these are the chunks.
When Mike Fossilman said braders has some nice stuff, he wasn't kidding! Thinking of that is what kept me going throughout the grueling, 2 day competition, lol. But braders, I'm still trying to figure why you said the winner might get a few cabs out of it? I'd say there's more than enough slabs to make a good number of cabs. And I like the smaller slab pieces, because they don't need to be cut on the trim saw. Just start shaping, and come up with a free form cab.
Well worth it, I'd say, braders. Thanks!
PS - In case you all didn't see, he also picked up the tab on the shipping for me answering (correctly) the question of what his favorite beer is - stout!

Oh, if only I was not penniless. What might have been... Good looking prize box there! Penniless, ha ha! You mean, 1962 penniless.
Man, what can I say? You really missed out...
Better to have played and lost, than not to have played at all.
