A#1 batch as usual Chuck. Hard to pick a favorite but really like the unakite at 2:00 in the batch pic. I've tumbled a few pieces of this but my came out chipped & bruised. Thanks for sharing.

Those look great! That Unakite really turned out shiny! I think the photos look fine, the only problem might be that it highlights the shine so well it is hard to see the color of some of the rocks.

Great batch, Chuck. Lots of nice material. So, you do know how to find that 'wet shine' button? And that laker with amethyst is awesome!

Amazing! I'm happy if I get just one per barrell that look like that lol. And that shine is a whole different story. I'd say my favorite is the one before the Laker with the Amethyst, very cool looking rock!

Awesome batch as usual, Chuck. Is your favorite a laker? The colors seem unusual if it is. I like it whatever it is.
Did you collect the unakite yourself?

That unakite may have come from my trip to Alpena. That one I listed as my favorite is a Mexican moctezuma agate. This link has some good photos of moctezuma agates www.rareearthtrading.com/c/58/moctezuma-agatesChuck

I don't know if I'll ever get my "good " tumbler running again at this rate. I might have to stick with my toy tumbler pushing through half a pound at a time! At least I was able to get it running again. Seriously, beautiful batch and to my eye the photography was excellent also.

Great batch Chuck!!! What is the second one?
Have a question 4 u? Got a lady from the flea market where I sell lapidary art that bought a old estate full of rough, slabs, preforms etc. It's all old stuff and includes about 20-25 pounds of lakers. SHE wants me to tumble them for her. Are these things already partially rounded? Are they a easy tumble? ANY special tricks to them? Thanks a bunch pardner!

The first rock after the full batch photo is a moctezuma agate. Lakers are a bear to tumble. My lakers tumble longer then any other rock I do in stage one. Almost all of them spend some time against a diamond wheel just to speed things up. I have had lakers that have spent 16 weeks in stage one when I was not pre-grinding. Chuck

Ok thanx Chuck, I thought I remembered it taking them a long time. They sound like a batch of fire agate I tumbled for a year.

I give some credit to the loto but most of the credit goes to the materials being tumbled and the patience exercised back in stage one. Garbage in garbage out and treasure in treasure out. Chuck

Maybe rule 1 and 1a. Should be repeated early and often for beginners.

That amethyst geode laker is crazy cool!! I encourage you to enter the tumbleoff! Thanks Scott. I sold a nice amethyst laker at my last show and then regretted it after so I was glad to see this one in the batch. Chuck
