That's what I thought too. If the slurry gets too thick and they start sticking to the bottom, I'll change out the whole thing. 3 months Oh well, I can do it. cookie

when I first started I had to check every night cause I was using the wrong kind of sand, and It broke down once a day. The habit stuck (I like looking at the pretty rocks) and I dump and recharge often. Besides the muck makes great crack filler and weed killer around walks and things.

Wev'e been trying to find a good weed killer. We are trying to make our yard essetiualy (sic) grass free (it's so steep you can only do it with a weed eater) so wev'e put down felt and wood chips, but the weeds still keep breaking through. And our neighbors 2 beautiful Wymer, Wemer, grey dogs like to eat them and we don't want them to get sick. Great idea, Thanks

Slurry from the tumbler as a crack filler...interesting idea. I've been using lint, but nobody notices unless I bend waaaaay over.
;D
Get it? Crack filler?

We had a mole go crazy around our house. One of the tunnel goes under the driveway. I dump the slurry into a juice container. After the slurry settles down. I pour out the fairly clear liquid down the mole hole. So far, I don't think I have come close to filling up the tunnel.. yet.

Hi Otter,
The mole is now in the big tunnel in the sky. My wife got so fed up with the mole digging up the grass in the backyard, she hired a professional mole hunter. I didn't even know there was such a thing! This guy knows more about moles and gophers and likes to share the knowledge with his customers. It was sort of scary. He even brought his kids along to train themI guess other folks think that us rockhounds are a bit crazy or scary too. Haha
WooHoo, while typing this message, my rocks arrived! Gotto go.

Hey Cal, Congrats on getting your rocks! Can't wait to see pics!
Cookie, You were talking about looking for a 3 lb rotary. I was just at eBay a minute ago and saw item #2252108254, a Lortone 3A that looks really good, has a low starting bid, and shipping is reasonable. I'm sure there is a better way to show it to you that just listing the item number but I'm pretty 'computer stupid' so I don't know another way to do it. Sorry about that! Hope you can go look at it anyway.
