Ha ha, I like it, too. It's not Fred, but, whatever. At least it is something alive, not inanimate like a rock or a machine.
Did you know that armadillo litters are all of the same sex? Yep, they are all identical twins/triplets/quadruplets/etc., since they split from just one fertilized egg.
And you probably shouldn't hang out with them, as I understand they can carry leprosy. They are kind of cute in a photo, though. I have never seen one up close and personal, only DOR and made into purses. (Yuk.)

James, I love the dillo too. Great pic! They're my favorite yard critter and I will sit and watch them for hours if I can....Mel

Never know what I'll find when I cut Reo's I got from Mel.
Armadillos are very cute, seem to be blind as a bat though. Several times came to within one foot of them before they noticed me. Maybe that's why so many end up as roadkill.

Right! You can sneak up on them quite easily. Amazing how high they can jump straight up when startled.
