The agate is very sci-fi. Love the velvet shattuckite... I've never seen those hues before. Stunning work.

It was expensive stuff, but I had to have one for my collection and one to wrap. Luckily, they are awesome people to deal with and sent 5 on approval. So glad about that.

Never seen a wire pass through the rock. Lots of potential with that trick. Par excellence as usual.

The grape agate set as a pendant is very neat idea... is it really agate, or is it botryoidal chalcedony? Very cool either way.

Peace,

Terrific set. How did you get the shine on the grape agate? Peace, Rich It was a gift to me. I don't know how they did it, but I suspect that it was pretty polished when found. It could be alluvial. It is from Indonesia and a lot of their gems are under water, but I could be wrong and they tumbled it. The creases still had a little dirt, but when I tumbled it, it came off.

After struggling for about 2 hours trying to do a basic wire wrap I have a much greater appreciation of your skill and talent. I'm not sure my hands are meant for wire work!!

The grape agate set as a pendant is very neat idea... is it really agate, or is it botryoidal chalcedony? Very cool either way. Just curious. What's the diff? I may be wrong. I recognise that. "Botroydal Chalcedony" is a technical name. "Grape agate" a trade name. Puh-tah-toe Poe-tay-toe Either way is carbs with your steak.
