Repurposed mass production bezel cutting sheet metal shear. Used by Mafia for finger removal-not really. 24 inch long 1" water pipe handle cheater for leverage 5 inch jaws Cheap, fast and effective. NOT pretty. Used for cutting bezels out of silver plated serving ware in a jiffy. Trays or pitchers. Vintage sliver plate made of fine base metals. From scrap yard/remelters. Cuts curves too. Patent Pend. ha. Sadistic and fun to use.  Usually cut up 10 pounds of serving ware at a time and then mass rotary tumble edges smooth in silicon carbide 80 for ~10 days. Note tumble smoothed edge on sample being cut shorter.  |

Some pits I go into won't even let you put air in your own tires, you have to call a tire service. The last time I was at one pit it cost 175 dollars for air. The little L bracket they are using for holding the stone while bending the bezel would be a fine as it is be used for a purpose not intended....I think these agencies might be in part self funding. |

THAT reasoning boils my blood Billy goshdangitdarrnit and many real 4 letter words. Doing the exact opposite of what the regulators say to do in our USA can safely make you a rich man in a home shop where they are not collecting anti-productive revenues. If I want to climb a 20 foot friigin ladder without time consuming safety harnesses that is my right. I will practice great care and caution. It is my responsibility. I rarely climb ladders anymore because my grip is not what it used to be. Driving on US roads is a whole much more dangerous. YES !! The socket may shatter if you weld on it. Wear leather and a safety shield to protect yourself. grrrrr Damn the whole bunch of them. I need to torch about fifty 10' lengths of strip of steel into 40" lengths this morning. Will do it in a spot where OSHA will ticket me just for spite. How about 10 feet from the lapidary saw full of oil. Acetylene and oil, what is the OSHA spec ? 50 feet ? |

I have a pair of 2X and a pair of 3X Optivisors and I still wear a pair of reading glasses with 'em.  Often thought of just buying extra lens, but usually when I need more magnification I am in the middle of a task and just put one set down and grab the other. |

Often thought of just buying extra lens, but usually when I need more magnification I am in the middle of a task and just put one set down and grab the other. I have optivisors, too-- with reading glasses! Getting blind as a bat. I have 2 pairs of readers; one for jewelry with the optivisors and a weaker one for the genie with the optivisors. I'm a little farther away from Gene when I work. |

I also have several complete optivisors. I like the 3 and 4 best. Wear prescription glasses as usual, and the optivior goes right over them. Works!

If one is crooked sea sickness creeps up or cockeyedness/crosseyed syndrome. It is bad enough performing tedious work w/out getting nauseated. cockeyedness did not get spell checked, Holy Cow. Never knew 5's were available. Probably need a compound lens better quality at high mag.  |

I wouldn't say this is my favorite tool, just something I've wanted & finally built: ![]()  ![]()  What is it, you ask? It's a jig for gluing magnets on the end of waxed cotton cords. The spring holds the cord in the hole while the glue is curing. Before I made it, the ends would pop out from the tension on the cord. I'd have to use weights to hold the cord down. With 10 - 20 cords being glued at a time it was a juggling act. Now I can do it much faster & am able to keep the cords centered in the magnet. No more lopsided magnets. Lynn |

zarguy. Are those magnetic clasps? Yep. I've tried lots of magnetic clasps & settled on these very strong ones. They are 6mm x 6mm with a 2mm hole that goes halfway through, then continues as a 1mm hole. I'm using them differently than they are designed to be used, but it works for me. Lynn |
