Nice. Where, generally, is this place?

Thanks everyone! Pat yes it's a heart as well! We were up on the Verde rockjunquie It's some sort of salmon colored jasper. I've found some smaller pieces up there before. I really need to cut and work this stuff Fossilman thanks for the beetle ID accidentalrockhound indeed it was a bunch to pack out. Nearly a mile hike back to the truck.. I was still feeling it this morning! zarguy of course I'm not too 'Young' to get the reference.. heh MrMike don't believe I had to do much windowing out there.. always got the rock hammer though to dig/pry these babies out NDK ha.. when we uploaded Christa's pictures I was drawn to that one and told her the same thing.. it looks like a hand Again thanks a bunch everyone, I really appreciate the comments

Lots of great finds! Good eye! It's always a safe bet that if you see a sign of something good on the outer surface that has your attention but you can barely see into the rest of it...put it in the bag until you get home. Looks like a nice place and bonus with a stream to give a better look at what the stones will look polished. There's nothing worse then cracking a stone to see if it's worth carrying and then realizing you should of left alone until you got to the saw. It's a tough balance when your the one to carry the backpack and don't want to carry the weight of a potential dud haha Looking forward to seeing when you slab some of this.. keep it up!

Dag nabbit - once again I wish I had a tracking device on Brian's truck heehee. Nice stuff sir! I've been wondering what kind of goodies this stormy winter in the west has shaken out. Up here in the N.CA all the prospectors are excited about all the new gold in the streams and rivers.

Thank you for the pictures, Brian! It was like hiking with you on that river bed.

Apparently I need to get my head out of my butt and look around a little! Haven't spent much time looking at this section and probably missed a bunch of good posts like this! Great finds! Thanks for taking the time to post your trip and the fantastic haul!!!
