Now your talking MrP. Nothing like handling a vehicle under such conditions. Wet roads and dirt roads can be similar. Nothing prepares a driver like forcing a car out of control and correcting it. Those guys that do high speed off road like the Baja are probably very good seat of pants drivers. |

Thank goodness for quick reflexes! So glad everyone is okay...could have been so much worse.
Teaching my third and last kid to drive. He gets really stressed when the cars behind him hug his bumper. Because we live on a mountain, he has to drive a lot of steep winding roads. Those of us who drive the mtn roads every day tend to drive much faster out of experience. I'll use your story as an example of why he shouldn't let people 'push' him to go faster than he should.

Not always so lucky in the mountains... Coulda shoulda woulda done the back road route, and YES, do not give in to the tail gate ers. |

Must not be a true dare devil. Took the torch and cut the bent axle out in 20 minutes. Ordered an axle and install kit($240). Then to the mechanic w/his hydraulic lift. Easier job than imagined. |
