Phil, what was the ebay guy's handle Don't want to post that kind of info as I blame it on India's mail system. Fair enough. From what you say, the fact that the buyer only allowed the bare minimum time before claiming against you, it sounds like he stiffed you with intention from the outset. I have particular respect for your decision. When only positive action is passed forward, the world is a better place.

I agree. He said he'd make good if it ever showed up, we'll see. Ebay is the real culprit here.... they should have known it takes a long time to get to India. And when I contacted them to let them know the buyer emailed me he got the package, ebay said oh well, out of our hands..... even tho they are the ones that took my $$$. THEy don't care as long as they get their 10%.

So they have the received package & goods? They should paypal the payment then. If the buyer gets a refund, which they will, then I don't see ebay gaining anything, just the 'buyer' gaining a valuable freebe.

Ebay gets a hefty percentage. regardless, IT's their crappy policy that I dislike. 7 days or a refund? When shipping and tracking info is provided? TO a country that normally takes 2 months to deliver? THey should have usd their brain to figure there's no way it could have reached the buyer in 7 days, and told him to wait the 30 or 45 days before they'd refund... see my point? Anyway, the buyer said he'd like o pay something.... and wanted a discount. SO I agreed, something is better than nothing in this case. If they were here in the US I'd be able to do something, but with them in India, I'm totally at their mercy. I asked ebay to give him my paypal ID so he could send something, and in todays emails, he sent a 72% payment. better than nothing, as I say. So, lesson learned. No more sales thru ebay to out of country. heck, even paypal has a better policy... and they charge about 1/2 of what ebay does. Time to move on... and sell some turquoise! Thanks Lee! Your pound goes out tomorrow! I gave you a small RTH member discount (grin).
