Hi all. Brand shiny new member here,,, Ornery blue eyed French cowboy.. my life is a spur ride.. Widowed, melanoma, no dogs for pets at the moment but have attack geese. Own and operate retail greenhouses-nursery. Navy veteran. Like traveling, breaking rocks, making alcohols and big fast cummings powered trucks. Have a mix of old and new lap equipment, couple old slab saws, 14 and 18 inch. a few tumblers, a new double barrel Lot o vibe. An old Frantom cabber and a lot of purdy rocks.. Always look for more.. Just need the time to do it all. Like Florida in winter, Bone Valley fossils, fantasy is Blue Forest, chert from Flint Ridge, Utah, Oregon, UP Michigan agates, iron minerals and Az minerals. Can access lots of Az pet wood. Hobbyist not commercial a little bit. Cant sell the stuff you love.. grin.. Lurked for a while and figured that if I didn't join I couldn't ask you guys and gals to loan me money.. grin Anyone have any spare change ?? A rock for a fellow human being in need ? CLiff

It sounds like you have your priorities right and are trying to keep busy in pleasant ways. I'm inclined to feel partial to rocks I collect myself, (they look prettier when you slice them up) but must admit to having had a good time once at the Gold Mine rock shop outside of Canon City, CO. Prices were right and the variety was fun to see. Welcome into the conflab.

Welcome aboard Cliff. I hail from the great East Coast. I'm a rare one.
I know what you mean about keeping your beauties. I often regret letting go of mine. I just let a bloodstone go that I wanted to keep, but it's going to my SIL, so I'll be able to see it often and I know she will enjoy it as much as I do.

Gotta love what is natural and not contrived by someone else to get our money.. Like the Frantom.. What kind of wheels you got on yours. Might bug you when I get more time..

Yuppers You got a great rock shop there and a back door to the UP without driving thru the lower crowded part of Michigan. I also used to ride the train from Chicago to Milwaukee when I was stationed at Great Lakes in Chicago. Thank you for your howdy. Cliff

Thank you again for helping me learn the ropes. Your dear bloodstone.. Yeah look at is as having one of your children adopted to a loving home. If they didn't love it as much as you, they wouldn't have chosen to have adopted it, TY again Cliff
