This arrowhead came out just stunning! Created as a wedding gift from Bride to Groom. The Turquoise was saved back from the ring I made for her and I also included a small piece of Woolly Mammoth tooth and surrounded them with Gold fill twisted wire. The Silver is about an ounce of 14 gauge with a hidden bail on the back side. I just may have to make one similar for myself, but in a Bolo tie

Stunning craftsmanship. Yes you'll make others but they cannot. Hard to part with perfection but you did knock it out of the WORLD with this.

Thanks all. Usually I nitpick my own work to death, and the camera does reveal one tiny flaw where the Turquoise meets the silver divider, but it is not really noticeable to the naked eye, so I can live with that. I even went so far as to use a brand new buffing wheel to avoid tiny scratches from anything that might be embedded in the one I've been using. Now THAT is how Sterling should look!

Wow, you did a fabulous job on that piece. WTG. IMHO I think the hidden bail really knocks this out of the park because it lets the piece stand out.

Outstanding!! Is there any special care needed when soldering gold filled wire Thanks, and great question! Torch and temp wise, no, but one should use Gold plumb solder even with Gold fill. Silver solder will work just fine, but unless extreme care is taken, it will flow onto the Gold and ruin the appearance. I have had success with silver solder, but only when the rope was filed flat on the back for a flush fit, and then only a few tiny pallions placed between the rope and the base.
