The Mojave purple loves a gold setting (in this case 14/20 gold filledl. The bronze takes on the hue of the gold. This one is going to a friend for her birthday today. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170603/d3e947b7d05786ed40d6e464c5d7d527.jpg)

First "Starry Night" I've seen since Vincent. Thanks for including it! Do you know why Van Gogh painted the lights with swirls of light around them? Why? Love the one eared artist's work and there's also a new petunia called starry night. Get my cuttings from Africa. Dark purple, blue with white spots. Looks like a global picture at night with N Korea being black of course. Poor people there..

BTW...I always heard that shattuckite was named after a guy named Shattuck, so that might determine a slightly different pronunciation, with the "ite" as it's own syllable. I believe you are on the right track. My understanding is that it was named after the Shattuck mine. Yeah, amazing cabs. The purple wrap is a literal jaw-dropper.

Love the Shattuckite, Cherry Creek and the other natural cabs. But I'm not so fond of the Colbaugh products. I guess I just have a bias against man-manipulated Frankenstones. They're striking but to me they ring a false note and encroach on my sense of wonder at what nature can create. But they sell very well so I know I'm in the minority, at least in the marketing aspect.

Saw Diane at the Coconino Gem and Lapidary club show yesterday and she go I say she got a bear hug!!! Despite my bad sciatic I picked her up and swung her sround! LOL. Really great show, about 20 vendors and not one had import junk! Everything craftsman, craftsperson made and just fantastic spectrum of work available!
Sorry Tommy not hijacking your thread but we'll ya know sorta , Err it happens!!! LOL

Not only that, but in English, if the last syllable starts with I then the adjoining syllable gets the stress.

I know there are one or two theories with substance (so to speak) Never had any myself although I know it had a resurgence of popularity probably around a decade ago. Oops thread drift again! Sorry Tommy.

Re Van Gogh: maybe he had cataracts. That causes halos around lights.

I've had one silent migraine in my life. I saw musical quarter notes on a staff. That was all!! No headache. Interesting.

Silent Migraines is another possibility. I get ocular migraines... I used to get them frequently (every few months) when I was working my high-stress job but since I quit a year ago April I haven't had a single one. For me I'm betting they are stress related ![(smart)](//storage.proboards.com/1258779/images/SzIDzrrMUWjmbeTygyVX.gif) For me they start with a small shimmering prism in the near center of my vision and over the next half hour it gets bigger and bigger until it develops a hole on the middle, turns sickle shaped and expands out of my peripheral vision. No real pain follows but just a general dull soreness in my brain and sensitivity to light that lasts about a day.

That wrap is to die for!!! PERFECT!
I got blinding, stomach turning headaches that saw me in a dark room flat on my back. Since I left my high stress job, I don't get them anymore, either.
