DP is very good at backing their wheels. I recently exchanged a 220 Galaxy that had a small peeled off spot. Took it to DP to exchange. They called in the owner but he replaced. Wheel had a 2001 date code. Told me way back they had a problem with the nickle not bonding correctly. Even though very old he said it shouldn't happen. Your wheels show a problem I lecture people about frequently. You need to move stone back and forth across the wheel. Almost every worn out wheel I see is worn out in center from pushing into wheel and not moving back and forth. They had issues over the years with new, environmentally friendly adhesives not holding and belts coming loose, but any wheels I've exchanged for customers they look at and replace for me.

Thanks- I may have been guilty of that on my first set of wheels, but I don't push in too hard and I always try to keep working the width of the wheel. This is the only wheel with this wear pattern. And, if you notice, the wear isn't in the center. My other two sets have even wear all the way down on each wheel- except for the one that I ripped, which was my fault- I had an accident.

Diamond Pacific would like me to send the wheel back for evaluation. I am happy about this. We'll see what they say.

That really looks like abnormal wear, hope they make it right for you.

Wheels wear. It's normal that the wear shows in one spot first. Lynn Don't listen to this skeptic. Between my skepticism & your perseverance, who was rewarded? I will remove my foot from my mouth. Lynn

Lynn, every Nova wheel I see that needs replacing has a black stripe down the middle and nearly unworn edges. This one is different because it was in one spot only. I used the edges of my first 1200 Nova for a long time after pushing a Koroit a little t0o hard trying to find the fire I just knew was there. It wasn't. Genie was an ugly rust color forever after too.
