Good stuff Rich, I would keep collecting there. Interesting area and is close. I have the red banded rock here but none with the brecciating. Keep my eyes open for it now. Build up your stock of trading material. And anything you can do to keep the boss happy.. grin.

Oh great , now I better start weighing myself down more when out picking . I've been leaving most of them because they tumble sort of iffy , some develop little pits . I've been told it is oolitic but if there is a more proper name , I'm all ears , or should say all eyes .

Shocked jaspelite ? Lot of shocked rock around that meteor impact site just north. Think impactite.
this beast: "The Sudbury Basin, also known as Sudbury Structure or the Sudbury Nickel Irruptive, is a major geological structure in Ontario, Canada. It is the second-largest known impact crater or astrobleme on Earth, as well as one of the oldest.[1]" Site(for what reason ?) is source of most of the earth's nickel, hmmm. could it be meteor nickel ? alien nickels in your pocket ?
@shotgunner, those cobbles are approaching sphere candidates. Talk nice to wigglin...

Talk nice to wigglin... The shocked jaspelite theory sounds interesting . The glaciers were pretty good to us here , big variety of decent material around . And Sudbury is only a few hundred miles as the crow travels . Might be some of what I assumed was hematite is something different . Some of the "hematite" polishes up like fine silver .

Yes , you have always been , or at least tried to be , helpful when I had questions . But , a 150-200# chunk is a bit of a stretch , I'll start looking at the big rocks . Seems like most of the bigger ones are sort of oblong shaped . I'll look through the pile and see what I can come up with .

Thanks for the link! I was just washing some rocks and found some of those oolites in a brown rock . Look just like the ones in the photo and are about 3/4 inch . If I had better eyes , I might be able to see if the red dots are the same .
