This maybe nothing good but it came in a batch of rocks. It looks a little bit like a flower if you can't see it.

Just joking, what is a critter? I'm learning ASL and there is no slang. I think "critter" is slang. :)

Do you know the area from whence it came? You might so an image search on things like sun/sea stars, fossil sponges (critter=animal). Could be mineral, but I don't recognize it.

Looks like some type of fossil, probably water or land related, lol. CAn you post a clearer photo of the star type shape? What is the texture of the rock? SAnd like? Also how heavy is it? Light or heavy for size? Again, do you know location found?

Looks like a marine fossil? What era is it from? Should be able to identify this sucker soon.

I have no idea where it is from, I got it at a estate sale and the guy was boyscout master. Also I got some opalized rocks and someone posted it was from Mexico. So, The fossil could be from the same place, maybe.

So, The fossil could be from the same place, maybe. It could be marine plant fossil idk that's just my opinion. If so, we'd have to figure out the locality, or region.

The closest ID I can pull up is the "Brooksella" fossil....Sea fossil....
