rockjunquieSadly it's crumbling in the saw. I have not tried much AZ wood but each time it's been like this. I got one cabbable size slab out of it - I'll send it to you and see if you can do anything with it. It might break on the black lines or it might not. I torqued on it by hand and it did not break.

Too bad that didn't hold together Tommy. Tela, you might also consider Gary Green for the green wood although there is debate on if it is wood or jasper replacing wood.

That definitely looks like it will break. Thanks anyway, Tommy. Too bad the stuff is so damn crumbly. I had a big ass cab of it a few years ago. I was shocked by the size knowing it is so fracture prone.

Actually, she only wants a small cab about 1.5 x no more than 1 inch. He seems pretty particular about what she wants. He knows his wife well.

I need about a slab of some nice opalized wood. Has to be nice- some color play would be great. I also need a slab each of very red pet wood and green. I have some Hampton Butte green, but if you have a slab of green for sale, I'd like to see it. You can PM me. Thanks! Tela, there a picture of the Az wood color on my av for future reference. Looks like Jean has it handled this go round. I never sell only buy or give away. rockjunquie
Tela, you will like the assortment of opalized wood I put in the box. There's also a couple pieces of Hampton Butte in there. Not big pieces, but one has really nice green color and hardness. No fractures, but may have to work around some "pores", for lack of a better word. You'll see what I mean, it may or may not go all the way through.
coloradocliff - Yep, I think I got it covered. Tela should have the box Monday. What we won't do for our friends!

Red Zebra Jasper. Jasper fetish here. I love jasper, too. Only recently have I started to become enamored with agates, too. I never had that many because I collected so many different jaspers, but now that I am cabbing for myself, I am seeing more to appreciate.
