This has been in the works for a while - I've been keeping my eye on it. The area has been open for a couple of years to rockhounds who were willing to jump a few hoops and get some permits - albeit expensive permits. Now the offroad crowd are getting permission to go in again. Might have to make one last trip up there before it gets swamped with people again. I have to admit I kind of liked it the way it's been. We are used to having the entire campground to ourselves. www.ksbw.com/article/house-of-representatives-passes-clear-creek-re-opening/10296941

I wanna go to the dead camel area!!! When will you be back in the area Bill? I've been thinking about that as a location for an RTH get together but I'm not sure if anyone would come. It's a bit out of the way for most of our members.

I'll try to find out more about when the reopening will occur and we'll plan something.

I'll try to find out more about when the reopening will occur and we'll plan something. The question will be - do we want to pay the permits one last time and have almost the whole place to ourselves - or wait till it opens fully and have to deal with the off-road motorcycles crowd... hmmm...

Hey Cliff I can do Texas. Love that flint down there for knapping. How about that Flint Ridge material in Ohio? purdy purdy.. And those Ranch Agates and jaspers in Texas. Been reading the old threads on Texas agates, Rios, and jaspers? We have all been revisiting them and with Mel and James insight have made more people interested. Getting the winter pretty well planned? The trip out one way and the return east another route. Rocks line your path..

Another limestone mine. hehehehe Poor orrum is in as bad a quy as bad off as you for good rocks and some vitamin A(gate), Vitamin B(brecciated Jasper), and Vitamin C(hert). That orrum isn't just a one legged cowboy, Bill is also a one legged digging machine for that Flint Ridge chert. Experienced and can make the springs on your truck bow if you let him loose with the right tools. Being experienced , he knows the right tools. You Mike.. hehehe Be kind of good to slip away fpr a few days as Bill flies down the highway on his way west and south later. Force him to dig some of that pretty flint there with you, How long has it been Bill since you dug there? That Nethers Farms stuff is pretty nice. Don't let jamesp know about it though or he'll show up with a 400 track hoe he made from aluminum cans, duct tape and some salvage and ruin all the hard work you had planned.

Get everyone some NasCar ear plugs so their tender ears wont get burned by my vociferous struggle with electronic mystery. hehehhe Lynn can you tell me how to make my thing bigger? That picture thing is way too tiny for your older eyes. What caused your eye sight loss? Studying instead of dating when you were a teen? I hope this helps.... .... me... Course who I really need to help is my dear friend Lynn to become more sociable and spend some more time at the keyboard with his friends.. and that one web stalker dude. hehehehe Maybe.... Help him get it up.. He needs to get his post count up so he wins something.. No one tell him that I'm going for the Corvette. Shhhhh C.

Lynn If you click on the thumbnail of the attachment, a larger photo will load. ETA: Well, in this case, not too much larger. Dave coloradocliff How did I do Adave? How did I do? Count em 4 of them.. Going to get closer to winning something if this keeps up. grin.. Ok So since I have 4 pictures of some of the shrub liners at my nursery. and .. I have just finished potting all this size into bigger containers and these are all surplus. Many other kinds of these small shrubs are also surplus. Anyone who Pms me their mailing address before 7-22-17 I will send them a free med flb at no charge with what ever I have available that you can choose from. Shrub varieties that I have available free but not limited to.. are as follows. Potentilla Pink, white or yellow. Forsythia Spring Glory, variegated willow,Several colors of weigelias , Elders, Butterfly bushes 4 colors, Snow mound Spireas, Consort currant, probably gooseberry, and I'm sure others. These are temperate zone shrubs and will not do much in Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico. They will thrive and perform well North of those areas to the Dakotas and to both coasts. Lower 48 only. I will ship the medium sized one free at my costs. If you feel like throwing a rock my way someday fine. If not we are all happy. If you need several boxes or large boxes, you can pay me after you see the plants for the freight only. Numbers are large but also limited to what inventory I have on hand in the surplus side. Probably several thousand and they are decent, well grown plants. I hope that many can find good homes. pm me your mailing addies. Pass the word..
