Tile blade super grinders last a long time and very durable. The old club where we used to live had to put their super grinder outside because of the noise though. I saw it after three years hard club use and blades still looked new. It had about 10 ea. 10" tile blades.

@shotgunner , on the continuous blades with no spacer , what grit wheel would you compare the blades to , 60 , 80 or more coarse ?

The goal is to take the major cutting away from those expensive wheels. Then all the 80 does is clean up the roughing work the supergrinder does.

Thinking of putting on a stack unspaced the way you did to try and get away from the high buck wheel .

Either way you look at it Scott it is a great idea and use of some extra parts, with a great concept to go with it. I love it, diy Lapidary at its finest. Frank
