Well, I stayed out of this, watching your childish behavior, but I have to rant a bit. Well, maybe not so much a rant but a lecture. smittys , I would like to congratulate you for being well on your way to burning a bunch of bridges here. We're a pretty welcoming group...hell, I was new here not so long ago and was accepted with open arms. You were too. But, the edge has slowly been worn on that welcome for failing to understand the etiquette of participating in internet forums. There are plenty of unwritten rules (you can research them), but folks here have tried to point you in the proper direction. The advice from others has seemed to not sink in...at all. Your stated goal is 100 posts so you can sell. Now, you backtrack and say that was a joke. Based upon your behavior, the "joke" statement doesn't appear to be true. Now you're somewhat attacking the group as not being friendly to newbs? SMH. In your 90+ posts, it now seems apparent that it is simply about you. Yep, screw the thoughts of the other guy, screw the consensus of the board, I'll just do what I want. I didn't (physically) hurt anyone, so why can't you play by my rules, instead of yours. I've seen those sentiments in your posts. Quite frankly, even though you're seemingly an irritant, you remind me of folks who used to m***** f*** me just before I was getting ready to stick them with an IV. Never was it all about me, it was about the excitement of a newbie Rock hound want to share ,learn and have fun. Rules are overrated when they're what everyone worries about. But, I find it ironic that you admit that you over-posted and such, yet you still try to defend it. I am not mad at you whatsoever. I just don't understand your thought process. Rules, whether written or unwritten are not over rated. They allow for order in a given circumstance. If we didn't care about rules here, there would be no categories for any posts. That's not the environment that we, as a community, wish to exist in. Accept it, and all is good. Don't accept it, and you'll continually get reminders. Sit back, take a breath, and "contribute" to this forum. So far, your posts have just been about you and what you have. Pretty one-sided in my view. Dave |

The fake "will post NO MORE" and then coming back was childish - at best. You may have stumbled upon some nice rocks, but I won't be a buyer - and I buy every rock not nailed down. The few Viagra spammers I've had to spank have been about as much excitement as I've had - in more ways than one... Except maybe manofglass - I think about banning him just on general principle of PM'ing me every day ... just kidding - had a few very strong beers with dinner |
