The man has a thing for zippers, I'll say that. I do like the shirts and sweater carvings. Pretty impressive. Another point Randy, there are some serious artists using flickr. Their client base is impressive. They have a clean professional site. I do a lot of photos thru flickr both in personal and business life. I hope it stays that way. I hated to see what photo bucket did. Lots of damage. Back in 2011 flickr and PB were highly rated photo hosting sites. My gut feeling was to go w/flickr. It seemed faster and well organized. Made sense from amateur photographer mindset. I know you have had a career in photography and had to make a decision on a hosting site along the way. Any reason why you went with flickr ? Guessing you had your reasons. |

Back then, before thumb drives and cheap memory storage, I was putting pics up on any hosting service that would take them. Paranoid about losing images, even with backup on CD, DVD, and laptop. Better to have a copy out there in the cloud somewhere. So, after messing with a few of them, I settled on Flickr for the reasons you listed above. Always functions as it should, no bombardment with ads, and also a great platform for viewing beautiful photos by others. PBucket was always clunky, glitchy and a real pain in the ass to me. Thought I would keep rock stuff on there and the rest on Flickr, for a while. Gave up on it pretty quickly. Glad I did. Granted, Flickr could do the same thing, but something tells me they've paid attention to the debacle with PBucket. Still, back up photos in multiple! |

I blamed it on the Mac. 1st and immediate turn off. Did not care for the ads in a hurry too. I figured you had been using flickr a long time being in photo biz. And flickr is sexy. It's appealing to the eye. It does great presentations and has become somewhat universal. Shares well. Android and Mac offers it in about all share functions, that's a big help. Just hope they keep getting whatever financing they need, or the executives don't go Enron on us. |

Well that's illegal where I live so live with these.. I judge lots of science fairs, county fairs etc..Gets weird science at times.. Bet ole jamesp will be sorry he left us unattended with his thread huh?? grin

Hey, I wanna be an entry in that science fair ! Would have to complain about that judge...note devil horns in background. Was out of town. HAD to get away captbob. Spousal break. Went to visit buddy at his lake cabin near Tocoa GA on L Hartwell. Step away for a few days and the Vegetables get prepped for Hollywood roles. Glad to see the Squash fare well, acting comes natural to them. Young gal is too cute. She has you figured out coloradocliff. |

Why do they call you a master tumbler? because you like experimenting and tumbling the big ones? Kids are always awespme.. New crop of helpers each year. Usually one or two back each season.

Yes, that and menopausal(metaphase) behavior coloradocliff. Agreed, kids are awesome. Especially at that age(little girl). My cousin has an 8 and 9 year(girls) old and they can dish it out. Ask them how to spell their name, repeatedly spelling it back (incorrectly of course), watch the frustration mount. Works like a charm. I hope y'all survived my mysterious departure. Since the Squash died I have nothing here. Am home now and already restless again. Thanks for noticing captbob. Did a little picking up before the sun got to hot out in the plant area. Leaned up against a fire ant mound built next to a wood planter box. High weeds, did not see it. Striped buck naked and jumped in the lake. ~50 bites, considering Benadryl. Itching head to toe, damn ants. Ants in pants. |

Don't confuse it with a retired guy buying a big new Harley That's Man o Pause. Yow fire ants.. Didn't take you long to strip when youre wearing your summer attire. Purple thong and sunglasses. Waiting for pictures. Warn us so we'll go fishing that day. Yes kids are the best. Love that childish enthusiasm. Yep that's why captbob is so fun.

I was hanging out at the Silver Glen about 15 years ago. A 30 million gallon per day spring flowing a river into a lake about a mile away.
300-400 boats there every warm weekend, serious party hole.
Up from the lake comes a pontoon boat idling in with a couple of nougahydes(sun pickled 60 year old ladies w/bikinis).
And their equally aged men wearing leather thongs with nut cups. Hip gyrations, etc.
I swore I would never do that to any human no matter how much I disliked them.

Wife Unit leaves next weekend for a week for annual summer family get together. I stay home to take care of the critters - plus I can do just fine without seeing her family. Way good, and better than my leaving for separate time. I get to stay where I'm most comfortable and with all my stuff to play with.  |

St Augustine is very cool. But I like all that history stuff. Place is like a museum. Love the fort.
Got family just north of there in Sawgrass - Ponte Vedra. Plan on some rain, pretty definite on Thursday.

But under those conditions....You see how hot it gets in the greenhouses, pond feels good after that sauna. I do have a serious well with a big pump in it. I can fill one side of a pond with 62F cold crystal clear water and of course the other side will be warm. It is nice to swim/float back and forth from the cool water to the warm water. Effervescent is good description. I just let the well run for about 6-8 hours to create the 2 sided temps. |

Nice to see you making progress with the pictures coloradocliff Last year I found a pair of jamesp glasses and a coconut while hounding at the beach. Cheers James. 
Thought that was a round cobble of palm wood at first. Coconut still edible ? The Coconut is happy, papers to be quite intelligent. |
