Before I Start Drummund CHUCK (Nice Shop) And a Big Thanks to E V E R Y O N for all the equipment inputs, Okay after digesting all this today and mulling it over I have a Dilemma I Purchased the Lot O Tumbler and the Thumler B from Because Shaun at the Rock Shed has been out of them 4 ever. I am kinda in a return delimma as rocktumbler.com does not have a phone number to talk to a live person all they have is a little email address to ask questions. However they do have F A S T D E L I V E R Y I Placed a Grit Order and Parts Order Saturday night from therockshed same time I ordered the Lot O and the thumler B from rocktumbler.com and today I got my order from them fedex all the way! I Just Checked my USPS TRACKING from the rock head shed and the stuff is still setting in BFE and hasn't moved. In my Opinion there is NO EXCUSE for that kind of service! That Lil BO DUNK shop has to realize something without me and others like me there i no them! I was considering purchasing 2 Lot O Singles and and another Thumler B from them but not now? 5 days and its still hasn't left the home town? So that's my update So I think I Will Order the right stuff and depend and trust the rocktumbler.com that they will give me my money back after they receive it. If not I will sell on FLEE BAY. So Lesson Learned Cheers ~Duke

That’s the first negative thing I’ve ever heard about The Rock Shed. I’ve ordered from Shawn a lot of times and I have never had a problem. He has always shipped the same day. He does have a phone number, so maybe you should call. I wonder if something is wrong with him or his family, because this is not normal at all.

I've ordered TONS of stuff from The Rock Shed and never once had a bad experience. Grit orders have always come thru USPS since they nicely fit in a flat rate box. I would also like to state that USPS tracking has always been hit/miss for me.

I would not trust the tracking system before I would suspect the Rock Shed Plus you get candy with your order

OKAY OKAY PLease Forgive Me! I just tracked the PKG again this morning and it is out for delivery!! Damn Post Office!!!! I talked to Shaun on the phone yesterday and he seems like a swell guy I will make all my future purchases from him as his prices are much better than the other places. Post office needs to get their head out of their KEISTER and do their jobs oh wait...... Their a Government Entity So that's not gonna happen.

*whew* guess we can cancel the burning at the stake!
Don't go and be shopping there without pricing around. Great service and usually very good prices. I buy A LOT at the Rock Shed, but there are things (like bulk grit) that can be had for less elsewhere. Shawn has always been a first rate operation and has proven time and again to be worthy of his loyal customers. Just sayin' shop around for the big ticket items. The Rock Shed may still be the best option, but not always.

Last week, I actually met and spoke with THE (one) postal worker that ships Sean's stuff. He was a great guy to talk to and offered a bunch of history about the area. He is a transplant from New York and is clearly a huge history buff. He even opened up the door after the PO was closed, just to see if he could help us. He obviously scanned your package in, but with the volume of material that gets sent from the Rock Shed, I can see where a package might have gotten missed on the scan out. I guarantee that it was an honest mistake and not a case of laziness from this guy. Glad it worked out for you nonetheless. Dave

I was going to redeem myself and buy that from Ole Shaun and Maybe that BD saw next week Eqipment wise that should pretty much outfit my shop. therockshed.com wants $1399.00 and free delivery from the factory is there anyone out there a bunch cheaper? If not I am going to give him the biz. Cheers ~ Duke

*sigh* Google is your friend. Check Kingsley North, PM johnjsgems, etc etc. Different places sell different stuff. Why a Cab King? 6" or 8" wheels? Which BD saw, the 10"? How many Lot-Os are you ending up with? I lost track. Ask questions here before spending $$$ and ending up wishing maybe you had gone a different route. MANY World Class cabbers here ... ask them what machine is "best". ASK before you leap. Lots of us here have Been There Done That just sayin'

6" Cab King On the Cab King had a few members awhile back recommend it to me online here and in PMS. On the BD will be the 10" the one you said you liked cause it was cute looking. Also couple members thought it was a good choice. ON The LOT O's (2) Single Wammies on the Thumlers (2) of them plus I have the (2) Lorotone 33B's I will wait till I get a sweet deal on slab saw. Cheers ~Duke

Well I did get a call from the associate at rocktumbler.com and they will give me the price for the machine I paid and shipping costs. I would say they stepped up to the plate. Their costs are about 15% Higher than therockshed.com I don't believe they will be able to match Shaun and his prices but now that I have his name and number I will let them step up to the plate. Capt'n BOB I have been googling and everyone you listed is the same cost on the Cab King 6" at 1399.00 Cheers ~Duke

Cab King will not let anyone advertise a lower price, if the dealer advertises a lower price than that they will lose their dealership. Thats why everyone is the same price.

Just off the top of my head, txrockhunter and melhill1659 both have the double barrel Lot O. I'm sure there's more. Jeremy rolls over 100 lbs. in rough grind at any given time to feed his machine. Don't know about Mel. Maybe she has been too busy to get enough material through yet. Good Morning, busy omg’sh yes! I cleaned out 2-15lb and 2-4lb Tumblers yesterday. No grit to save in those neglected barrels. They are sitting in water now waiting to be sorted. Both of my twin lot-o’s are in a constant state of hibernation but it’s totally my fault! Either I don’t add grit like I should or at a batch end they get a great polish but I’m still not happy with what they look like so I put them back into stage one. Vicious cycle 😂.

I’m with Capt’n captbob, I’m not quite sure why you picked Kab King either. Every cabber I know, if it’s not a self made unit, uses Diamond Pacific Pixie or Genie. Sean DOES HAVE THE BEST PRICE on those. Almost everything I have has come from Sean. I should seriously buy stock!! Regardless good luck on your endeavors.

Well Capt'n kinda looks like the same thing to me! Attractive or Pretty In an endearing way! I’m with Capt’n captbob , I’m not quite sure why you picked Kab King either. Thanks Mel, Well I called and talked to SHAWN last Saturday and we had an in depth Conversation on Cab Machines. He mentioned that the Pacific Brand and said in years past they have been the leader in the Cab Industry. He also told me that many of his repeat customers have been purchasing the CabKing-8V1 because of the value and working room between Wheels that this machine provides. This machine DWARFS the Pixie or Genie and weighs over twice as much as those machines with It's clean water, contamination free, independent, adjustable, drip feed system and full 8" wheels gives a great value for the price. It also comes with a set of replacement wheels. The Pacific Titan is the only machine close to this and it costs $1000.00 more. I took Shawn's recommendation and went with the CabKing-8V1. At the same time I purchased the BD10" Trim Saw between the two I was able to receive some good discounts. Altho I am a newbie at the Rock/Stone Biz The Wife and I etch Glass and we will use these pieces of equipment for that use also. I will let everyone know how I like them. Thanks Cheers ~Duke
