It's no secret that RTH has the best members of any forum, anywhere, period. This month we will raffle off four boxes of material generously donated by our members to the benefit of RTH. October auction #1 is a box of 11 lbs of beautiful Ohio Flint mookaite mix donated by Dale Spicer, AKA spiceman. In the face of his own personal challenges, the amount of work and worry that Dale went through to ensure this box made it into the mail is truly inspirational. If Eva and I do make it to Ohio with the group next year I can't wait to give him a big hug. These pieces are very colorful and the small to medium sizes will allow it to easily be broken up and tumbled or sliced and cabbed. Auction DetailsStarting bid: $20 Minimum increments: $2 Freight: MFRB $12.40 Payment: Paypal Auction start: immediately Auction close: Sunday 10/15 at 7pm pacific (10pm eastern) Approximately 11 lbs of Ohio Flint Mookaite - colors are more vibrant in person. I'll try to add better photos later. Happy bidding!

Yeah... I'm going to put the bidding on hold till I figure it out. There is definitely some flint in the box but the majority looks like mookaite to me.

All I can say is: I got that at the show at a state park in flint ridge. There were truck loads of that same colorful flint. They had big chucks and it was advertised as flint. It may.look like mook but it was given to me at flint ridge and by more than one vendor.

It's good looking stuff, though. Good on you for donating it.

Thanks for all the positive attitudes. But... I have to know what it really is And then where did it come from? Why is it labeled as flint and selling at The flint ridge show? Makes no since. But it still looks cool, either way. And for free is a good price.
