Ann let me know if the box wasn't full and I'll send more tumble material to you I can join you in that endeavor and send some to her also. My workbench has been a huge mess for a few weeks since our Qz trip and yesterday while I was cleaning it I found the little chunk of Morgan Hill jasper I had said I put in the box. I slipped it in one of the black velvet pouches - and ended up keeping a few of those pouches aside because I flat out ran out of room when re-packing the box - anyway the MH was sitting here in it's pouch If I don't end up sending it to Ann I'll let Cody make the call on where I send it or just wait till the next box go-round.

Ann let me know if the box wasn't full and I'll send more tumble material to you I really do think that we were not missing much of anything from the box. One of the velvet bags was blocking the biggest part of the hole. I can't imagine that much could have been lost, given how packed it was when I opened the top. I just wanted to show the condition, not as a problem, but more of a fact of life when sending boxes of rock through the mail. I've hardly ever gotten a MFR or LFR box that was not damaged in some way. Tape is our friend when sending these boxes. The harder it is for the recipient to open the box the better

Just hold tight to that for now if you don't mind. I have an idea for what to do with the box once its went full circle. Details a little further down the road.

I tried to get the box shut last night, but just couldn't. So I gave up and decided to keep everything No actually, I did send melhill1659 a message this morning to let her know that I will repackage tonight and ship tomorrow after work. Danged if I know why I couldn't get it shut. I tried really hard to replace like slabs for slabs and tumbles for tubmles. But it was getting really late and my frustration was escalating. My DH will tell you that I tend to get irritable as my weekends come to a close. I work 50-60 hours every M-F and the weekends are just so full and very little of that is fun rock stuff. But once Monday comes and goes, I fall into my routine and my attitude improves. I'm sure my irritability played a big role in the box not closing like it should, so tonight should be easy peasy.

I have an Update: fantastic5, LumininYou may want to skip me and put me behind the next person. My family received bad news today. My mom’s sister is not expected to make it through the night. Chris an I will be driving Mom home to Percival Iowa tomorrow morning @5am. We will probably stay through Sunday-Monday. If you don’t mind the delay send it on. I wanted to let y’all decide.

Okay so here is what I took from the box I tried to add things that are unique to my area and/or self collected. Here is what I put in. Top is a big thick slab that I picked up years ago at the Spruce Pine show. Not sure what it is. The lower two are Tennessee Paint Rock agate. Very difficult material to find or buy. Self collected. Not sure what the top red slab is. It came in a box I got from drocknut several years ago.The next two down are agate/jasper/opal from Summerville, GA (self collected). And some turitella from Wamsutter, Wy (self collected). The next 3 are almandine garnets self collected from the Little Pine Garnet Mine in NC. The shiny one was NOT put in the box, but shows what they look like polished. Rose quartz, self collected at Hogg Mine, GA and some purple fluorite (?), not self collected, I don't remember how I had this. And lastly some epidote and magnetite from the Cranberry Mine, NC. Some is magnetic, but I didn't check these pieces. But they take a real nice polish.

Next on the list is, Wooferhound. Is it alright if the box comes to you next, if so, I'll go ahead and get that info out. Then you'd send it to melhill1659 when you're done.

Just FYI, the red material from me was most likely Brenda agate/jasper.
