I didn't have a camera with me but I was stopped in traffic behind a butcher's delivery truck in Santa Monica, CA. The sign on the back of the truck said "You Can't Beat Our Meat." 1dave , I grew up with the Stinker Station signs that used to dot the narrow 2-lane highway across the seemingly endless Idaho desert between Pocatello and Boise. One of my favorites, taunting tired and bored drivers and located in the most desolate area, read: "If you lived here you'd be home now." There's an area near the Snake River where thousands of small waterworn basalt cobbles were left high and dry after the great flood when ancient Lake Bonneville (now the Great Salt Lake) overflowed into the Snake. The Stinker sign read: "Petrified Watermelons -- Take One Home to Your Mother-in-Law." They really did look like black watermelons. There were many more Stinker signs that relieved the driving boredom with a little chuckle. I can't recall more now.
