Thanks Kurt kk . I took mine out to 5000-grit also but did not realize as good a polish shine as you got. I guess I should have buffed it better.

I did nothing after the sanding, as I'm afraid I would burn up the surface with my Foredome. I got a foot-pedal somewhere, but have never used it. But come to think of it; I did give it a good rub-down on my jeans before taking pictures.
