Those cubes are great! Bet they would have good commercial appeal, you could sell them like hot cakes. Hold on, where's my husband... "Honey, will you buy me rock saw? We can make alot of money...." ;D

Thanks for the kind word everyone, Wiz, that may be my reflection, I can't see it. Must be that vampire thing going on..hehe ;D. The pic-stone never polished, just too soft. The pic on the 1st page is the finished product. Kim, it was a basic tumble. A week of 60-90, then I added the pre-formed pieces and ran another week of 60-90. Next a week of 120-220, 6 days of pre-polish, and then I ran over on the final polish in Cerium oxide as I went away and they just weren't quite finished before I left. The were in final about 12 days total. That's it, nothing special. No beads, but I do use a tiny bit of Ivory dish soap in the final to cushion and make rinsing easier. All that work for one roll of the dice, here is the final pic from the project for now............7

Thanks again guys! James, I should have mentioned it in my method description, but didn't. Yes, I have been running the first 2 steps ( 60-90 & 120-220 ) in the rolling tumbler and the last 2 (pre and final polish ) in the vibe. It seems to work out good, the roller is a Thumblers 15#er and the vibe is a Thumblers 10#er Ind ultra vibe. Kim, the dice were made freehand using a dremel with a diamond ball bit and a little water to keep down the magic dust...hehe. It was time consuming and the side with the sixes are the worse. I crowded them too much. I wanted to practice on the small cubes before trying a large set. I have to pick up a larger ball bit too before I give them a shot. Talk to you all later, Don

Wiz, yes I tried. But it was just a half hearted attempt. The problem was that there weren't enough of them to run in anything but the small hobby job. I gave them a week of cerium oxide....no change in them. I've seen picture jasper polished, but I think this variety is softer than most. I saved some for cabs, and will eventually try to hand polish those after I get a new diamond wheel and some other equipment I need. It will probably be a next winter project. TTYL, Don

Now coming from an avid gamer, and having a dice collection that could probably be used to purchase a nice car with, those are the best looking and coolest dice I've seen in awhile... You could make a small fortune, selling those to gamer conventions... ::grins:: And thinking about that, I may have to give that a try around here...::laughs:: You really did outdo yourself there, Don... they are beautiful, and the creativity you've shown goes above and beyond...
Congratulations, and I can't wait to see your next project.
