Man you have all the luck. Luck nothing, if I told you how much I spent on these dang things I know he's not on this board but I'd like to give a shout out to the 79 Bed claim owner Aaron Buell. I bought a LFRB of these eggs from him recently - 40# when it left his possession. Well the zoo keepers at the post office apparently let a herd of elephants stomp all over the box and it arrived broken open on two sides and taped and strapped by the post office - and missing 12 lbs of eggs Well, I showed it to Aaron and he did me right - I met up with him at the PowWow and he hand picked replacement eggs for me - not just the 12# I was missing but he kept handing me eggs - "here, take this one, it's a good one..." I ended up with 24# of eggs and this one came out of those replacements as did some other really nice looking eggs.

Yah the post office will do a number. The box of red Mexican Jasper came like that. Pretty nice of Aaron to load you up like that.

Beautiful egg, but more importantly, I love the feel good story to go with it. I've been on the wrong end of the deal many times. Love it when someone makes a bad situation right. That's the way it should be. Kudos to Aaron! We need more like him.

Wowza! I talked to Aaron at Qz, but was already done spending money. I guess I need to look closer next time. I'll be buying some slabs or eggs. Lynn

Black and yellow always makes such a great pattern, but then throw in the bubbly maroon! That's really AMAZING!!

That may be the coolest egg slice I've ever seen. Love the druzy in the center.

Need to make a really huge bobby1 style cab of that first one. Capture the entire druzy and fortifications.

That's very cool. I wonder where the other eggs are now? Now I will worry at night about the lost eggs.
The only rock the post office has lost for me was a small slab of stony-iron meteorite I ordered for my brother's birthday from a guy about 150 miles away. Christmas came and went... brother's birthday cam and went... no meteorite. Finally, this ripped-up envelope comes in the mail. it's dirty, torn, and it has wheel marks across half of the front. Despite the fact the envelope was clearly and repeatedly marked, front and back: "HAND STAMP! DO NOT CANCEL!" somebody had put it through the machine. Or tried. The reel marks on it showed clearly where it had been stuck in the machine for 2 or 3 weeks. Meteorite, undamaged. Their machine? Well, something had to give somewhere, I suppose...

I know that egg is too pretty of a specimen to ever cut up for cabs...but I just can't help but imagining the possibilities! Larry C.
