Hi all....I went to the help section of the forum and looked for "how to download pics"...nothing in the 'help' section... I saw some previous posts and they recommended that you use photobucket.com. I registered with them and have a few test pics in an album...Now, what do I do? Is there a FAQ section here that I need to go to and read?

Hi John...thanks for the response, but I'm not sure what you mean when you say "cut & paste between the bars on this site" ...what bars are you talking about?

Hi Duke, I still don't see any of your pics posted here, so I don't know if that means you are just waiting or if you didn't understand the directions. In case it's the latter, here's another take on how to post pics: Open up two windows, one with your photobucket images, and one with this rock tumbling site and the new thread you are posting. In your photobucket images, underneath the pic is a line labeled "Url". Using your left mouse button, highlight the entire url that is given for your pic, starting with "http:" and ending with ".jpg". Then, with your cursor still over the url, click the right mouse button, and in the pop-up menu, use the left mouse button to click on "copy". Now go to the window with the rock tumbling site. Go to your message, type what you want, and then click on the "insert iimage" icon, which is on the bottom row of icons, 4th from the left. This brings up some text that says URL . With your left mouse button, highlight the "URL" between the marks, then without moving the cursor, click the right mouse button to bring up the pop-up menu. This time click "paste" with your left mouse button. Done. Basically you are just replacing the letters "URL" with your pic's url, and you can either highlight it and replace it like I describe here, or you can backspace it out and then paste like Sandsman says. Give it a try and let's see your pics!

Andy what do you mean by replacing the tags To post a picture from Photobucket, you only need to do the following: There are three boxes under each picture labeled "URL", "TAG", and "IMG" from top to bottom. The box after the "IMG" label contains everything that you need to post that picture. Simply left click on it to highlight it, right click, click on copy, go to your message post, place the cursor where you want the picture, right click, click on paste, and your picture will be posted. Do not use any other tags and do not click on the "picture icon" above. The code in the box includes all of the code nescessary and already has all of the tags that are required! Ron

I adjust the photo size in photobucket. Your pic size seems okay to me, but sometimes posting them at 1/2 size is good too. By the way, in those last two pics you posted earlier today, in the first one I'm sorry that your friend was feeling so ill. Must have had to throw out his runners too, as that was quite a puddle he made!

did you get home with that huge piece of petrified wood? are you recovering from trying to pick it up or protecting it from the other rockhounds?
